With canals, gondolas, and peacocks, the hotel looks more like an Arab sand castle than typical Dubai architecture. The room (and the hotel itself) was superbly decorated for the holiday season, with plenty of water, fruit and even cake provided on my birthday. On the beach and by the pool there were free SPFs. Another nice touch is the free ice cream. Other than that, everything was as expected from a luxury hotel in Dubai.

The staff is super friendly and everything from the check in to the waiting staff to the concierge was handled flawlessly. I've stayed at many other places in Dubai but none have come close in terms of sheer hospitality. The breakfast was super and the room had a balcony with a great view of the pool and beach area. We will certainly be back as soon as possible.
