A 5-minute walk from Cologne Cathedral and a 9-minute walk from Cologne Central Station, this hotel lies on a side street in the Old Town. It has air-conditioned rooms and free WiFi. Rarely have I been so impressed by a hotel’s service, cleanliness and comfort. The staff was extremely helpful, starting by providing directions and recommendations for where to go based on the time I had available. When I mistakenly thought the sink had a defect and reported it, the staff came up immediately to try and rectify it. He explained to me how the drainage worked. The breakfast spread was also superb, with a daily homemade dish. For the morning I was there, it was an excellent French toast. The home was compact, clean and comfortable. The lighting and shower systems were also intuitive to use. There was also a nice minibar, though I didn’t use it. All in all, I felt that Stern am Rathaus was the highlight of my stay in Cologne!

Conveniently set in the centre of Cologne, 25hours Hotel The Circle provides air-conditioned rooms, a restaurant, free WiFi and a bar. Loved the quirky atmosphere! I had stayed at one of your hotels in Vienna so I knew a little bit what to expect, and I was still impressed on top of that! The room was very large and fun, with details that made it even more interesting - newspaper, bag to use for day trips with the possibility to buy it it you wish, etc. The lobby was also super cool, with unusual hang out places, games, and fun mini-shops scattered all around the front desk area! The restaurant was excellent also, both as far as the food and the ambiance was concerned. The price was very reasonable for being in the center of Cologne, and free underground parking on top of that - almost too good to be true, but it was! :)

Set within 300 metres of Cologne Cathedral and 500 metres of Ludwig Museum, Hotel Sandmanns am Dom features rooms in Cologne. We had a lovely stay here. The location is everything! We were off the train and at the hotel within 5 minutes (or less) walking and it is also right around the corner from the Cathedral - walk 1 minute and you're there! We came to town to explore the Christmas Markets and it was a great base for us. It is a small hotel and nothing fancy but it was very clean and comfortable. We did not eat breakfast there as there are many amazing bakeries around. I would 100% recommend that you book as I know I will stay again if I ever find myself back in Cologne!
