Room size & cleanliness, food, staff and location. The hotel is just 5-minutes walk away from Monastiraki Station (town center). All major tourist attractions are within 15-20 minutes walking radius. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are very clean, and are of decent size with small balcony. Breakfast is amazing with many options. Surprisingly, it is not a buffet but ala carte. There are many other restaurants and bars around the hotel. I would definitely stay in this hotel if I ever go back to Athens again.

The hotel was lovely, really cool interior design and the waterfall showers were a bonus. Loved the exposed stone/rock walls in the room, and windows opened to an open air atrium. Great rooftop terrace with views of the city for breakfast. Location was only a few minutes walk from nightlife activity, preferable for us because the city noise did not interfere with sleep, but still close enough that you’re just around the corner from restaurants/pubs, as well as a nice wine selection at reception for nights in. Staff was very friendly and so helpful with everything, our last morning we had to leave by 5am and the receptionist kindly arranged our taxi and packed us a light breakfast to take with us.

14 Reasons Why Hotel Athens is located in the heart of Athens, 200 metres from Monastiraki Square. The property features a terrace, as well as a shared lounge. The decor and design of this hotel is super cool and quirky, without compromising on quality. The lighting is great and the room is well thought out to provide us with everything we needed for our 1 night stay in Athens. Toiletries are lovely and we appreciated the emphasis on being environmentally friendly. The bed was super comfortable. All linens and towels were high quality. Breakfast was AMAZING, huge portions and healthy options. The staff were highly attentive, friendly and warm. The area around the hotel seemed a bit "off" when we arrived. There is lots of graffiti around and some of the surrounding streets we weren't so sure about. However, at night, it was alive! There are quite a few traditional taverns around, serving nice food. There are also many bars and clubs with a good vibe. I would describe it as a more hipster area, it was awesome. Would definitely recommend this hotel to friends.
