First time to book a hotel in kyoto, but this is my first time to see a hotel that is so clean. From outside to inside the room, even in the inside the elevator is so clean and smell so good! i liked the most is the bathroom! it's 10/10 very clean and spotless. Service is good too. And the parking is free you just need a reservation. there is a supermarket too beside the hotel. I will recommend it to my friends who will visit kyoto.

So many things to like! This was by far the most spacious room with a view, that we had in Kyoto. The beds were comfortable, the room had many amenities such as pajamas, slippers, kettle and teas, mini fridge, tooth brushes, combs, soap, shampoo, etc… what I was impressed with is a personal hand written note was presented in our room. Near to travel an and buses, walking distance to main attractions. The staff at the desk were very accommodating, helped us navigate to certain places we wanted to see. Just a wonderful experience.

Only 5 minutes from JR Saga Arashiyama Station with the free shuttle, Sun Members Kyoto Saga offers Western rooms, free WiFi in all guest rooms and the lobby, and a restaurant. I’d say this hotel is underrated. We stayed here when we visited places around/near Arashiyama so I won’t say that the location is bad. You just have to plan your trip and map it out. Staff were great, I can speak a little japanese but they can converse well in english, too. Room was great and spacious - and the sunrise view from our balcony was beyond perfect. The building is classic and well-maintained. They have a shuttle going to Saga Arashiyama station, but I don’t mind the 10-15 mins. morning walk.

The house is a contemporary renovated town house, it is actually more spacious than the pictures shown and the lighter is much softer and warmth, there is a small backyard with a tiny pond in the middle, the 2nd floor have some interested hollow floor design with a foot bridge connecting the bedroom so you can see the first floor from the 2nd floor, the art collection such as some wall painting and slide door as well as the teapot collection is quite classy as well

Situated just 3.4 km from Kyoto Shigaku Kaikan Conference Hall, Villa Kyoto Saiin provides accommodation in Kyoto with access to a garden, a shared lounge, as well as a housekeeping service. The host was so friendly, broughts toys for our son. We felt really at home. The house belonged to his grandfather and it is a real experience of Japanes house and hospitality. We will come back soon.
