The breakfast scenario and experience were unbelievable. I never rate hotels. This one, I will. One of the few hotels I have traveled to in the world which I will return. Truly awesome. Conveniently set in the Nishikyo Ward district of Kyoto, Kadensho, Arashiyama Onsen, Kyoto - Kyoritsu Resort is located 1.6 km from Arashiama Bamboo Grove, 3.7 km from Otagi Nenbutsu-ji Temple and 4.5... The property is very beautiful, loved how close it was to the train station too. Staff are extremely nice and welcoming, we got a foot massage and talked with our masseuse the entire time. They have 5 private onsen which is perfect for me since I have tattoos. They are used in 30 minute intervals. Make sure to book dinner too, if they’re full they won’t take you to dine inside but I believe you can do take out. We had our luggage shipped to them and was able to check in and already have our baggage in the room and they also kept it for us when we checked out to go explore arashiyama

The property was conveniently located with a beautiful lounge and authentic restaurant. The room was clean and spacious.

We enjoyed the location - 20 minute train ride from centre of Kyoto, walking distance to the Bamboo Forest and surrounds. We best liked that we had the town to ourselves before and after day-trippers.

This is my first hotel in Japan. It is a two star hotel, so I had low expectations, but it is in line with some four star European hotels I have been to.

Renovated in 2014, Hotel Binario Saga Arashiyama offers a restaurant, a café and a public bath. JR Sagaarashiyama Train Station and Torokko Saga Station is just a minutes’ walk away. Loved this hotel for a second time. Access from JR Saga Arashiyama station could not be easier! A perfect choice to enable an early stroll along the bamboo path. The breakfast is a very novel experience: with an English brochure and help at hand, guests make their own tofu at their table. The small cafe is also very convenient for lunch. Nearby Randen line gives access to many other iconic places in north-west Kyoto.

Only 5 minutes from JR Saga Arashiyama Station with the free shuttle, Sun Members Kyoto Saga offers Western rooms, free WiFi in all guest rooms and the lobby, and a restaurant. I’d say this hotel is underrated. We stayed here when we visited places around/near Arashiyama so I won’t say that the location is bad. You just have to plan your trip and map it out. Staff were great, I can speak a little japanese but they can converse well in english, too. Room was great and spacious - and the sunrise view from our balcony was beyond perfect. The building is classic and well-maintained. They have a shuttle going to Saga Arashiyama station, but I don’t mind the 10-15 mins. morning walk.
