The hotel is a small boutique hotel located by Kamogawa river, close to subway and Eizan railway. The staff are very welcoming, friendly and always willing to help. I have been to Kyoto many times but staying at Riverte Kyoto Kamogawa had definitely made this trip even more enjoyable and comfortable. The hotel provides different local sweets and snacks everyday in the room so it’s always a surprise what I come back and find. The amenities in the room is well equipped with superb quality. I would highly recommend this hotel if you’re ever in Kyoto and wish to stay somewhere away from the busy downtown. Look forward to stay here again in the future. PS. Crosta deliver my luggage to the hotel since I arrived very early in the morning. Then it’s hassle free to wander around without dragging the luggage to the hotel before check-in time. Situated in Kyoto and with Kyoto Imperial Palace reachable within 1.8 km, Kamo Residences by Reflections features concierge services, non-smoking rooms, a garden, free WiFi throughout the property and... I booked a suite with garden river view and got a complimentary upgrade to a Panorama suite. Beautiful interior and wonderful feeling floating above the river. I was a le to see the mountains and shrines beyond. The manager Rio was so kind to book all our restaurants. The high season is super busy, but we haven't missed a single thing. Excellent location and very near my favorite Shrine, Shimogamo Jinja. The other days, we hiked up and down the river, lovely places and restaurants in the neighborhood. For sure, try the local deserts offered.

Just a 5-minute walk from Daitokuji Temple, Guesthouse Bon offers convenience in air-conditioned Japanese-style rooms with no curfew. The owners were very accommodating and helpful. They were very patient even if we arrived quite late than originally informed.

Super comphy with everything you need while traveling, washing machine, kettle for your coffee, and microwave oven. Spacious with a big bed. Kinkakuji is very close, so you could be there before being crowded. The owner is a nice and helpful guy.

Set in Kyoto, in a historic building, 2.4 km from Kinkaku-ji Temple, Daitokuji Sushicho is a ryokan with a garden and shared lounge. If you are looking for a traditional ryokan, this is the place for you. Everything from the room to the small backyard garden was perfect. Everything was clean and tidy. This one day ryokan certainly provided a much needed rest for a hectic trip and it was good to take a break from the city. Not to mention the hospitality provided by Sasaki-san and his wife which was splendid. Sasaki-san took a lot of effort and time to prepare our meals starting very early in the morning to ensure that we were filled up before we left. Both meals provided by Sasaki-san was nothing short of perfect. The meals were prepared fresh each day and very good. We highly recommend this place because of the peacefulness, experience and food. This is a good place to just rest and unwind before moving on to the next city. If you are driving, Sasaki-san will also reserved a parking space for you if you provide him an advance notice. When we come back to Kyoto once more, we will definitely take a day or two and spend it here.

The apartment is located in a quiet non-touristic area. It’s equipped with everything you need during the stay. I found the bike and the portable WiFi to be very useful indeed.

In the Kita Ward district of Kyoto, close to Kinkaku-ji Temple, Nachiya has a garden and a washing machine. The owner was very friendly and welcoming. He made a few follow ups to make sure we were alright during our entire stay. The place itself is really clean, pretty and well located.

Located in Kyoto, 2.6 km from Kinkaku-ji Temple and 3.1 km from Kitano Tenmangu Shrine, Cozy house 411 free wifi a rented electric bicycle offers air conditioning. The owner was very friendly and welcoming right after we reached the nearby station, and the following service was phenomenal. We had 4 big luggages, but he helped us carry all the way up to the 4th floor (no elevator unfortunately, so make sure to carry a moderate amount for your own sake). Location-wise, I suppose the only well-known attraction to foreign tourists is Kinkaku-ji, however, the owner spent quite a while explaining to us what other surrounding attractions and local food we could try, which were way less crowded than the usual spots like Fushimi Inari and the like (definitely worth a visit if you are more into discovering the serenity side of Kyoto). Our family did not know Japanese very well, but he made us feel welcome and our travel experience in Kyoto was very much fulfilled.
