Treated like family. Easy to reach by train. Easy to bus up the ski fields. Great selection of places to eat in Yamanouchi - ask hosts. Good start to the day with their complimentary breakfast.

A 7-minute walk from Yudanaka Train Station, Yorozuya features hot spring baths, a hot tub and Japanese-style rooms with a private terrace and private bathroom. this was the first visit to YOROZUYA after many years. always an exceptional experience. staff was great! Sakamoto-san was very accommodating in our SAKURA room for meals. will be sure to visit again. maybe stay in KIKU room?!?!

A small 6-room inn with Ryokan meals and cosy interiors, Yasuragi is just a few minutes drive to Jigokudani Monkey Park and an 8-minute walk from Yudanaka Train Station. Hot-spring baths are featured.... The owners were super friendly and helpful. Their food was incredible and the Onsen was relaxational bliss.

Aburaya Tousen offers luxurious contemporary Japanese-style accommodation with an amazing 11 types of hot-spring baths and free WiFi. Dinnner, room and the private sauna and onsen (yes, there were both in the room!) was fabulous. The room also came with a dining room where the chef came to prepare dinner..

A 3-minute walk from Yudanaka Station, Hotel Tsubakino features indoor and outdoor hot spring baths with a vista of snowy mountain peaks. The hotel offers Japanese-style rooms with free Wi-Fi. The location is very near the station. The staff are super helpful and friendly. The food is very delicious. We enjoyed our stay in this Hotel. Strongly recommend.

Boasting both indoor and outdoor hot spring baths, Kamei-no-Yu is traditional accommodation surrounded by beautiful Japanese garden and ponds. Free Wi-Fi is provided throughout the property. Tomo is the best! He is so friendly and accommodating. The property is beautiful and the rooms are perfect! The food was seriously some of the best we had in our entire 1 month stay in Japan. Onsens were gorgeous too!

Yudanaka Seifuso is located in the Yudanaka hot springs area, surrounded by scenic mountains. It features 3 hot spring baths and traditional Japanese-style rooms with tatami-mat (woven-straw)... Traditional ryokan with very rustic feel, exactly what we wanted. Location is right by the station which is super convenient, and there is a Lawson and 7-11 within 3-min walk. There is a private onsen which you can go to for free without paying extra! You just go in and lock the door and it’s yours for however long you want. They provided free tea and cookies in our room daily. One of the owners was kind enough to drive us to the Snow Monkey park, which we appreciated a lot !!

Located a 7-minute walk from Yudanaka Train Station, Hotel Housei offers free WiFi access, indoor/outdoor hot spring baths and air-conditioned Japanese-style rooms. Great room, very spacious. Beautiful view over the mountains. Great shuttle service to see the snow monkeys and to the busstop on the way back (all for free). Very friendly staff and the Onsen is just amazing!! Definitely would recommend this place.
