A lovely boutique hotel set on the grounds of the hosts' family house, in a lush garden, resembling an oasis right in the center of Bangkok and in a lovely neighbourhood. The rooms are decorated to the theme of Bangkok and its temples, a nice way to learn about the city before getting tons of advice and ideas from the host! Breakfast is delicious, home-cooked, an experience on its own! We stayed here one night and will definitely stay here again!

Bed was very comfy and everything was super clean. Very friendly and great location - about 2 minutes walk from metro, yet super quiet. Perfect for either a long or a short stay in Bangkok.

Packed full with recreational activities, Sivalai Place offers spacious air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs. We loved the quiet area of Bangkok, yet very close to the Metro trains. Cheaper and great food. Highly recommend the small, family owned restaurant right next to the hotel and 7-11. We ate there all the time. The family at the hotel were very kind, helpful and gracious. We extended our stay and were given a great discount! Pots and pans are available upon request (I saw some reviews mentioning otherwise). The pool was amazing, fully shaded, due to the height of the hotel. The roof terrace provides great views, the tennis courts were well-maintained. The washing machines are super cheap and wash well, all extra detergents and coins are available at the front desk. They even have lots of snacks at regular store prices. Oli, the daughter of the owner gave us a free ride to the metro, on the day of our departure, which was so kind. Overall very comfortable, spacious rooms, great housekeeping and plenty of room to work. We will definitely return, if visiting Bangkok in the future.

Nothing about this stay was good. We booked 2 nights, stayed 1 only as the room was disgusting. It was filthy, the plug sockets were held on the wall with celotape, there's was no pillow or duvet covers, and when we asked for some they said they don't have any !?! It was ant infested, the walls were crumbling to bits and the 'city view' was a brick wall of the building next door. When we opened the fridge it smelt as ifba dead rat had been stuck on there for a year! Mud/poo smeared on the AC system

It’s very good, room is clean and comfortable, the area is local and quiet, but a little far away from airport, but in general it’s easy to get anywhere, the staff is very friendly and helpful, giving your all the information you need

The rooms are spacious and there is a desk you can if you need some quiet time or plan to write something. The location is unusual, at the heart of the main tourist attractions, as it is right next to Wat Arun and the pier connecting with the Grand Palace area. The area looks more like a Thai village, but there are small restaurants all around. For any serious shopping or services such as money exchange, you may need to cross the river or go to the Itsarapaap station area, both about 5-10 minutes away. Crossing the river is a no-brainer all day long, as it only takes a few minutes and costs only 5 bhat. The hotel really feels like a Thai home, with air conditioning in the rooms but not in passageways, taking off shoes before you get in. There is a spot inside where you can make coffee or eat a snack from 5 am to 11 pm. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

It's hard to know where to start as it was such a wonderful stay and highlight of the trip. The host is so lovely, knowledgeable and helpful and bent over backwards to make sure we had the best experience (take a private boat tour if you can, it is well worth it!). The property has so much heritage and is beautiful inside and out, the styling and decor is such a credit to the passion behind it. Loved staying in the Deer room though they all look incredible. Location wise it is really easy to get around with major monuments such as Wat Arun within walking distance, The Grand Palace being a short ferry away from that. There is a major train line a short walk away if you want to go out further which connects easily onto other lines, it's also easy to get a taxi as needed. The area feels really low key and local which is really nice, there is a street food market up the road near the train line entrance as well as 7/11's for bits and pieces and late night eats. The breakfast was such a highlight of the stay. So beautifully presented and created, loved that you have the option to switch it up each day. Even if you select the same type of breakfast each day it does change, especially the sides which are fun little goodies and yummy fruit. The drinks that come with them as well were perfect, I loved the tea and juice selection in particular, and the hot chocolate was a nice treat.

Located about 5 km from Wat Arun and Wat Pho, Toptel Thaphra - ท็อปเทล ท่าพระ provides accommodation in Bangkok. Free WiFi and free parking are also featured. The staff was smiley and helpful, she spoke only Thai, but there were sings explaining everything I might've not get in English. The room was clean, with free "mini bar" that we didn't use, but was very nice. The bed was comfortable The room was nicely designed, with places to put our luggage and clothes, desk, and everything you might need for longer stay.

Located in Bangkok and with Wat Arun reachable within 850 m while Itsaraphap MRT Subway Station is 120 m away, Arun Old Town provides concierge services, non-smoking rooms, a garden, free WiFi and a... Amazing, not just a hostel, it's a boutique hostel. 10 isn't enough, it deserves 12. Everything you can possibly need is provided and it's all of excellent quality. Great beds, bathrooms, fully equipped eating area, free coffee, towels, hair dryer, shampoo etc. Gorgeous rooftop on 2 levels, incredible views. The woman who runs the place is absolutely lovely, super welcoming and helpful. Best location, in the heart of old Bangkok, 2 seconds walk to the subway station and 5 minutes to Wat Arun/the river. Spotless. Beautifully decorated, lots of communal areas. Extended my stay and will stay again.
