We stayed for two nights and went on a six hour safari tour with the hotel. We really enjoyed the safari and our guide, Nisal, was so friendly and good at spotting the animals. An amazing day. The rooms are nice and clean, and has that “safari vibe”. We loved the outdoor bathroom and showering under open sky. We enjoyed the pool and the surroundings :-)

An exceptional stay in a well kept and sprawling property with friendly and accommodating staff and affordable and comfortable lodging options. A unique glamping experience where we enjoyed watching monkey mischief while relaxing by the pool, strolled through the manicured grounds and ate delicious meals from a wide ranging menu. The informative staff at the front desk assisted us with booking our 5:30am, 3.5 hour safari tour that afforded us the opportunity to watch the sun rise over Udawalawe park to the soundtrack of bird song. Our excellent guide, Nishante, pointed out a ton of animals with his eagle eye, two species of which we also saw. Highly recommend Kottawatta Village to anyone looking for a unique experience, surrounded by beautiful nature with the possibility to upgrade to luxurious options if so desired. A truly memorable experience!

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food was good and the pool area was nice. They arranged the safari to Udawalawe National Park. The driver took us around the park.

The manager of the camp was extremely kind and available to chat, to show us around. The tent are perfect: very big and with all the services you might want. The food was very good. We had the best experience. Couldn’t ask for anything different!
