Where to begin? This tented camp exceeded all of our expectations. The tents were beautiful - had everything we needed. We booked a river tent and so glad we did, the view was breathtaking and we were lucky enough to have elephants cross the river and walk right past our little balcony. The bed was v comfy, wifi was spotty but better than we expected considering we were in the bush. Staff were amazing - Hazel was brilliant and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. This is a self catering camp so be sure to stock up before arriving so you don’t need to leave the park (there’s a big shopping mall is Hazeyview which is about an hour from the Kruger gate). Stayed for three nights and loved every minute. Can’t wait to come back!

We had a wonderful 1 night stay in Umkumbe Bush Lodge. After a long ride (tip: do not follow gps without checking it leads you to enter the Sabie reserve using the Shaws gate!!), we arrived in the Camp and were immediately warmly welcomed by Anika. Tents are very comfortable as is the whole camp : boma & restaurant area are so beautiful. Nice pool with lovely sunbeds & a view on the bush. No big game passed by but soon we saw Kudus. The game drives with Pieter were amazing!! We had the luck to see a leopard with cubs (wauw!!!) chewing on a kill, 7 lions and many more animals. Breakfast served during our sunrise game drive was the cherry on the cake: freshly baked pancakes in the middle of the reserve! Life can’t get much better than this!

A walking safari is combined with a late afternoon and after dark game drive. There aren’t many opportunities to do either one of these activities in Africa. Daryl, the camp manager and principal guide, is a real character in the best sense of the word. We thoroughly enjoyed his company and that of his assistant guide. Getting exercise on safari is not easy to come by and this four day three night trip really helped to overcome that problem. Daryl was a master at spotting game. We had lots of lion and leopard sightings. Seeing them at night was so cool.

Terrific ! skukuza is a great great place. We saw a lot of big mammals around. Tent are very confortable. Restaurants and facilities around are very good. Prices are really affordable and reasonable.

Kruger is 10/10 expérience and lower sabie is a great spot. I spotted cheetah and leopard few miles away the camp. I slept in a tent very confortable with my family. The restaurant is good, close to the river with hippos. Price is really reasonable. Enjoy.
