Tucked away from all the Mt Cook tourism and yet seemingly within touching distance of Aoraki. Spectacular views on the drive in - along almost the full length of the east coast of beautiful Lake Pukaki..the approach from Lake Tekapo if you drive 'over the top' is pretty special as the vistas gradually open up to the west as you come across. The Shearers' quarters are clean and tidy ..well appointed and comfortable with fab cooking facilities and great hot showers. Access to some wonderful walks on the property with astonishing views across to Aoraki. Alana is clearly very proud of her business and is a warm engaging host. Just be aware...you are WELL OFF the beaten track here. That's the joy of Mt Cook Shearers' quarters.

Everything was super clean and tidy. I really like the closeness of animals like cute fallow deers and that they don't fear people. Amazing tiny home in an awesome quiet, peaceful and elevated location with spectacular views down Akaroa harbour. 15 min drive into Akaroa but the tranquil peaceful location is magic. Accomodation is on a lavender farm and there are walking trails and full access to the rows of lavender. Lyn and Malcolm were exceptional hosts! Very friendly, kind and at tentative to our needs. Make sure to purchase some pacific blue lavender essential oil! Nice touches in the tiny house - with cushions that showcase the indigenous pigeons the place is named after and lavender water spray. Note that the toilet is a cassette toilet - this was not a problem for us - but it may be a surprise to others

This Caravan offers access to the communal kitchen which is equipped with microwaves, ovens, kettles and toasters as well as cooking equipment. That night when I check in was very cold, I felt warm hearted when I enter the room and the heater was turned on.

This mobile home consists of 1 living room, 1 separate bedroom and 1 bathroom with a shower and free toiletries. This mobile home features a carpeted floor, heating and a flat-screen TV. The room was beyond our expectations. It had a very homely feel and the amenities were awesome. The beds were comfortable and the bunk bed in the room was very useful especially with a child. The room was neat and clean. I loved the decor.
