On a tour round Hokkaido you’re going to experience a pretty broad range of accommodation - but this was a highlight for me. The owners are a lovely and welcoming couple and the lodge is spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The view of the mountains as the sun came up was spectacular. As an alternative to the urban places, and for somewhere away from the crowds in beautiful countryside this is hard to beat.

Far enough away from town that you can see the stars. The receptionist who greeted us (Jack) was extremely friendly! It's also a very pretty hotel, reminiscent of a log ski lodge. The view from the leisure room is also absolutely stunning

Such a lovely home! There are no other buildings around to block the view, much like a fairy tale house. The hosts are very friendly, and the breakfast is very authentic, a home-cooked meal that allows you to experience Japanese culture. The two little pets at home are very enthusiastic.
