It was fantastic! The rooms are cozy and the beds comfortable, the house and yard are neat and beautiful and the food was great! It takes about 5-10 minutes to go to the lake and it's quiet and easy to reach by Marshrutka. From the main road it's approximately a 10 minute walk.

Our family (four adults) stayed at the Guesthouse Shirin for three days - we wished we had stayed longer. The accommodation was spacious & clean, beds were comfy. Our host Gulya showed great hospitality and impressed us with her delicious cooking - featuring a hearty breakfast (included with the stay), homemade jams and a selection of local dishes you can order in advance for dinner - e.g. handmade mantis, tender slow-cooked lamb, fresh salads with home-grown vegetables etc. Just ask what's possible and choose from several mouthwatering options. There's a beautiful fruit tree orchard right in front of the house, we were in luck and were able to pluck some apricots from the trees in September (come in August for high apricot season). Later in the year, apples & pears are under way. The beach is one minute away. Mountains and hiking opportunities are nearby, day trips to nearby waterfalls and a very impressive canyon can be easily organized. The house is slightly off the road and pleasantly secluded (very quiet and tranquil, almost no neighbors), while the village and shopping opportunities are still nearby. Bonus: amazing view from the upstairs bedroom balcony.

I would travel to Kyrgyzstan again just to visit them. You will be so happy you stayed here. The only thing to be careful of: you may end up leaving a few kilos heavier because you won't ever want to stop eating.
