(For the record I speak a little of jaoanese) I had to stop one night here because Nagano was too far from Nagiso. But in the end I am glad I did. Sakashita is NOT a tourist town, there are no konbini, and likely there wont be a lot of english around. However, what lacks in english makes up in friendly rural Japan vibes <3 Had to do laundry and get dinner and Ashi-san helped me through both of those matters. I had some beer and okonomiyaki in a local restaurant where evdrbody was having a great time watching a baseball match, had a great meal and chatted up with the super friendly locals. The traditional garden was amazing to put some shakuhachi vibes in the background and let yourself drift in time.

Ubytovanie Guest House Hinode sa nachádza v destinácii Takayama 2,6 km od miesta Železničná stanica Takayama a 4,8 km od miesta Skanzen Hida Minzoku Mura. The owner was the most lovely women. She met us at the front door and had hand written a welcome sign with my name on it. She gave us a tour of the whole property and was in general just amazing.

Amazing and very clean place in a really beautiful area. The owner fantastic and very helpful. She pick me up from a bus stop, reserve ticket for me and even drive me to my bus stop to Nagoya! If you want a calm and cozy stay you should book this one.

Offering a sun terrace and views of the garden, Tajimi Guest House is set in the middle of nature, 3 km from Tajimi Station. It’s a quiet location, which is nice. First time in years that I have slept without earplugs. Good to know: you can not bathe at the guesthouse. I was a bit scared of using the Onsen at first, but ended up loving it. The hosts are such nice people. They made my stay even better, thank you so much.

Just a 2-minute walk from JR Takayama Train Station and Takayama Nohi Bus Center, Guesthouse Tomaru offers an renovated 80-year old Japanese-style accommodation. Everything was wonderful. Such kind people. Can't recommend this enough. Please stay here if you are visiting Takayama.

A 6-minute walk from JR Takayama Train Station, 力車イン Rickshaw inn offers non-smoking Japanese rooms and Western rooms with free Wi-Fi, an LCD TV and a private bathroom. A free-use kitchen is on site. This liitle inn has characters. The amenities, cleanliness and location are excellent.

Ubytovanie ROMANSTAY sa nachádza v atraktívnej lokalite v centre mesta Takayama a ponúka izby s klimatizáciou, bezplatné bicykle, bezplatné Wi-Fi a terasu. The apartment was very clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. We stayed for one night during the Takayama festival as a couple but it can accommodate more guests. The open-air bath was fun and easy to use with privacy.

Ubytovanie GUESTHOUSE YANAGIYA sa nachádza v destinácii Nakatsugawa v štvrti Magome 21 km od miesta Enakyo Wonderland a 41 km od miesta Japan Taisho Village. The hospitality given to us by the owner was above and beyond. We arrived late but it was no problem. He then cooked us a delicious dinner. Breakfasts were simple and yummy. The next evening the host took us to partake in an onsen at his "local" country club" and then had us booked into the terrific restaurant there which was great as we were there in low season and nothing close by was open. Highly recommend.
