The host was very kind and helpful (going the extra mile by driving me to the train station on my day of departure due to the rain and carrying my luggage down the very steep stairs), the location was perfect (close to the shopping districts and a huge mall) and the accommodation was very comfortable (I really loved the fluffy blankets and the beautiful interior design).

Location of the lodge was great, easy walking distance into Echoland and a snow shuttle bus stop not far from the front door. The lodge is well appointed and the family room is very accommodating. Breakfast was great served in the lounge area which was available for use at any time with complimentary tea/coffee. The owner was so helpful with suggestions and tips prior to our arrival and the staff looking after the lodge were so friendly, very helpful and extremely customer focused. I would highly recommend the lodge.

The ryokan itself was a haven of tranquility and traditional Japanese charm. The architecture, interior design, and attention to detail created an authentic and inviting atmosphere.The rooms at Shioriya were meticulously clean, and beautifully furnished with traditional elements. The tatami mats, sliding doors, and comfortable futon beds provided an immersive experience into Japanese culture. Additionally, the small homemade breakfast served at Shioriya was a delightful start to each day, featuring fresh ingredients and a personal touch that made it feel like a comforting meal prepared with love.

Amazing guest house! The room and facilities were very clean and tidy. Kitchen was well equipped. The property was quiet and calm. The hosts were lovely and we appreciated the tea :) Overall cozy and relaxing - recommend!

Really kind to arrange vegan breakfast for us. Always ready to assist and behaved very courteously. The place was very clean and well maintained. The onsen in the hotel was clean and hygienic with all the facilities. I highly recommend this hotel.
