Highly recommend this beautiful hotel. The location is comfortable near Beppu Station and directly near a local bus station. The rooms are very clean and spacious. The shared living room is nice, great atmosphere, well equipped kitchen, free drinks all day. The owners are heartwarming, friendly people and you feel very welcomed.

Situated 42 km from Oita Bank Dome, 湯布院月灯り offers accommodation with a balcony, as well as a garden and a shared lounge. The host was so hospitable and staying there felt like you were staying in someone’s home rather than a business transaction. We had a lovely home cooked breakfast and the host even took the trouble to pack my daughter’s half finished toast.. And oh yes! The piping hot bath for soaking was another delightful experience for a unique local experience.

The onsen was great my room was clean and everything was very comfortable. There's even Netflix but the star of the show is how kind the owner is. He was overly helpful I drove and the road up to the house is a little scary as an American its hard. He drove my car down for me and im forever thankful I didn't crash my rental car. Very comfy nice stay close to everything I recommend it There's also a cool shrine with giant trees nearby. I recommend it

It was an absolute delight to meet this lovely couple and stay at this place. The location was convenient, close to many tourist attractions including Yukemuri observatory and the famous hell onsens. The room was clean and well-maintained. Most notably, the hosts were super adorable, kind, and generous people and it really made my Beppu trip so much more memorable! I am glad I chose this place and I would pick this again in a heartbeat if I ever get a chance to visit Beppu. Seriously thank you guys and I wish you nothing but the best! 😭

Guesthouse RETURN, a property with free bikes, is located in Kitsuki, 37 km from Oita Station, 41 km from Kinrinko Lake, as well as 11 km from Harmony Land. Very convenient location to explore the Kunisaki peninsula by car. The owner is super friendly and helpful. This accommodation has everything you might need. There were all the cooking utensils(rice cooker, several pans, fridge, Japanese cups and plates etc). The room was spacious and spotless clean. Kunisaki peninsula has so many beautiful pilgrimage trails, I would recommend this place for anyone who is interested to explore Kunisaki peninsula. Also only 30min by car to the famous Beppu area. Will definitely come back!
