My friend and I booked the quadruple room for ourselves and it was lovely. It has been renovated and you could tell. Chargers by the bed with a light. It was super warm (it was snowy outside) and they ensured the entire building was heated well. The washer and dryer were free which was great as I expected to pay a few pound for each machine. We used the kitchen to cook and it was clean and had everything there. We relaxed in the common area on the big sofas in the evening and it was comfortable and clean. Overall the price for a private room for 2 people it was exceptional including parking. I would stay here again when visiting York.

This is one of the best hostels in the world, the kitchen is big and well equipped, the living room is amazing, the pub is fantastic and cheap the staff super friendly and the location is great.
