They are epitome of humble and helpful. The cozy balcony and garden area is the best I embraced. Speaking of the food, the Indian cuisine(paneer) has lip smacking flavours. All in all, my stay at hostel is amazing. So if you are looking for a peaceful cozy experience in Shimla, this is a spot for you.

Eevolve Dharamkot - An Eco Hostel in McLeod Ganj provides adults-only accommodation with a garden, a shared lounge and a restaurant. We had a fantastic stay at Eevolve Hostel! We originally booked for 1 night and ended up staying all 3 nights we were in Dharamshala. The location is perfect - a 10 minute walk up to the Main Street of Dharmkot, a 10 minute walk down to the main area of Bhagsu, and just a 25 minute walk to McLeod Ganj. You’re tucked into the forest so you feel very secluded despite being so close to everything. And everyone who works there is incredibly friendly and helpful. The team hosts hikes for a sunset view, and a fire in the common area every night where you have the opportunity to meet other people from the hostel. Our only regret is not being able to stay longer!

There is ample space in the common areas to socialise with other travellers both inside and on the balcony. The terrace has clothes lines to dry laundhry if needed. Rooms are clean and organised. The location of the property is great as it’s walking distance from landing site for paragliding, the main cafe street and also some nice hikes. The best part of your stay is the host, Raman, who is super helpful and welcoming. A well travelled person himself, he is always happy to make recommendations as to what to see and do, not just in Bir but the whole of India! I felt very safe and at home and he answered any query or question I had, always with a smile on his face. I enjoyed my stay so much I came back again for a second time, and am sure if I’m in Bir again, would stay here again :)

There’s a very comfortable common area and they made me an early breakfast the day I left for a hike, before the regular time. I actually went back after the hike to stay there again!
