Tashila Hostel asub Gangtokis, 1,6 km kaugusel Palzori staadionist. Kohapeal on tasuta jalgrattad, privaatne parkla, ühine puhkeruum ja terrass. The place is super spacious, I felt like I was staying in a villa. There’s a balcony with seating, a big couch with a TV in the living room, an upstairs balcony with lounge chair and an upstairs common room. If I had more time I would have hung out here for a while. They even have a working space (and good wifi) which makes it the ideal spot to chill out. The owner and his staff are super friendly and made me feel right at home. From the moment I arrived to the moment I left, they helped me with anything and everything I’d need and answered every question. Whenever I’d go out they’d help arrange transportation and make sure I get a fair price. The beds are super comfy and the rooms have a very homely feel to it. The whole place is spic and span, very tidy and clean, and the included breakfast is simple but delicious. They make a killer toast! Opt to take dinner with them in the evening, they’re really good cooks! Definitely recommend staying here!

Addy was a great help, offering expert assistance and guidance throughout my stay. The breakfasts and all the meals that I had were delicious. The place is super clean and the vibe is relaxed and hospitable. The location is about a 2 km walk from MG Marg (the “busy” hub) in a quiet neighborhood. The view from the balcony, of the Gangtok area and mountain is great. I would most definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

Great place to Stay in Pelling. Really quiet & peaceful. Nimesh & Aloke are great hosts. Be sure to check this place out.

Zemu Gangtok asub Gangtokis, 1,1 km kaugusel Namgyali Tiibetoloogia Instituudist. Kohapeal on aed, tasuta eraparkla, ühine puhkeruum ja terrass. Everything. The rooms are among the tidiest and cleanest I have ever seen in any hostel. Everything is sparkly clean. They have a great library common room, high speed wifi, and free filtered water. Also the 2 dogs they have are absolutely lovely and want to cuddle all the time. But all of that pales in comparison to the helpfulness and patience of the staff there. I asked a million questions, trying to organize trips and permits and they helped me along every step of the way. Calling them, even after hours, they did what they could and I am immensely thankful for that. I was even escorted to the bus when leaving to make absolutely sure everything goes smoothly. This amount and dedication to service, for this small price. Well. I am left speechless. 10/10 hopefully I can come back one day with a group to check out all the cool places one needs special permits for in Sikkim that I missed this time.

Zostel Gangtok asub Gangtokis, 700 meetri kaugusel Palzori staadionist. Kohapeal on ühine puhkeruum, mittesuitsetajatele mõeldud toad, tasuta WiFi-ühendus kogu majutusasutuses ja terrass. The staff, lounge. Rohit, Sahil and the Chef were great.

Tag Along Backpackers in Gangtok asub 1,6 km kaugusel Palzori staadionist ja 2 km kaugusel Enchey kloostrist. Kohapeal on tasuta jalgrattad ja tasuta WiFi-ühendusega toad. The best part of this hostel is the staff, the vibe and the community, which centers around the cafe. The cafe is a great place to meet people. The staff is engaged and organizes great outings. Most importantly, the owners and most staff are engaged in the local community and are super knowledgeable. Tag Along and Tag Along 2.0 were my best hostel experiences in 5 months in India, and are a model of what hostels should be.
