Very helpful, and always willing to answer questions and give suggestions. They have a large lounge area, with a kitchen area. Everything from the rooms, kitchen and washroom facilities was spotless. Would definitely recommend this guesthouse.

We had a wonderful time spending with our friends here. Very good location, clear introduction before we check in, very fine kitchen equipment so we can cook us a simple meal! Love the washing machine and the shower was great, too! A neat and big house, full of traditional Japan culture, a beautiful and historic building. So worth it.

Guesthouse Kotohira situa-se em Kotohira, a 40 km de Liminal Air-core Takamatsu e a 40 km de Sunport Fountain. First things first: this is a welcoming place. I enjoyed my short time at Kotohira a lot and a huge reason for that was the friendly and relaxed atmosphere at the guesthouse. The host (heart and soul of this traditional house in central location) is a bubbly and passionate traveller himself that has seen so many places in Japan and around the world. He is really interested in your own experiences while you travel in the region and he can give you a lot of recommendations. Even though this guest house is in the north of Shikoku, he provided me with travel and commuting advices for Hokkaido. And: I loved the traditional house in central but quiet location. My roomy female dormitory (for 2 people) was lovely decorated. It felt a bit like in a treasure museum. The bath facilities are modern and the kitchen is well equipped (free coffee). So, if you wanna stay in a friendly place where you can recharge travel energy and get freshly inspired, pick this guest house.

Sunny Day Hostel situa-se em Takamatsu, a cerca de 3,4 km de Asahi Green Park e 5,8 km de Cormorant Shrine. Nice homestay managed by a person who could speak very well in English. Great experience for a special room setup and special Japanese breakfast which is really delicious. Quiet place with easy access to nearby walking covered shopping, restaurant street. Will certainly be visiting this place again in my near future and special thanks to the host who had giving us lots of guidance on the local attraction!

I bloody loved this place! The 2000 yen dinners were fantastic and Ryu the Chef could cook anything gluten free, so for me it was a dream to be able to eat all Japanese styles and not be restricted to just sashimi or sushi, plus..... he played a mean guitar and ukulele and knew a whole bunch of songs. We had some great jam sessions and interactions with the other guests. I recommend taking the cooking lessons if you get a chance- I learned how to make Dashi and prepare Shabu Shabu. The breakfast was a full meal prepared by Ryu- not just the usual cheese, boiled egg and toast. As hostels go - this one is a cracker!
