We are open voor bookings during during Covid19! Lovely private cottage with spectacular views very near Amsterdam and the famous historic Zaansche Schans. A save place to stay during the Corona crisis because the cottage is a a secluded space indoors and out. The cottage is situated in the typical historic village Jisp and overlooks a nature reserve. Discover the typical landscape and villages by bike or canoe. For more action and musea the beautiful cities of Amsterdam, Alkmaar, Haarlem are just 30 minutes away. For couples with a young child, or non couples we have an extra bed available. The house has a private terrace on the water with a wide view of the special nature reserve 'Het Wormer and Jisperveld'. The cottage has a private bathroom, separate toilet and living room with open kitchen. The romantic sleeping area is on the mezzanine. Asian, African and Modern art from the owners collection add to the beauty and charm. For couples with a young child we have an extra bed available.
We live opposite the cottage and are always available for questions and tips. Our phone number is also available on the safety card in the cottage. We will be there when you arrive to hand over the key and show you around the cottage. Unless interaction with the owner is desired or required, our guests are free to enjoy a very private experience. We are always in for a chat and help you to explore the area and always happy to answer any of your questions.
The house is situated in the beautiful natural surroundings of the Wormer and Jisperveld. The historic village has a restaurant but also in the surrounding villages you can find some good restaurants. From the cottage you can see many birds and the last remaining rancher carrying his cows by barge from pasture to pasture. For a day spa, you can can enjoy Fort Beemster, a wellness in a 18th century fort about 15 min by car. The famous Old Dutch 'Zaanse Schans' is within walking or biking distance. Across the water you can rent rowing boats. In the house there is a map with all the information at your disposal. Amsterdam, but also the beautiful cities of Hoorn, Alkmaar and Haarlem can be easily reached by bus or by train (30/40 minutes).
