I will add that although you are absolutely in the jungle, the bungalow has all the comforts, frogs singing at night and birds singing in the morning are the only sounds, Popa Island is the most remote, the cleanest and the quietest, believe me, in the most beautiful coral gardens, you are the only ones! The tranquility of the place was wonderful. It's a 30 min or so boat ride from Bocas Town which is what we wanted since Bocas Town has turned into nothing but a party town with extremely loud music till 3-4 in the morning mid week thru the weekend. So it was wonderful. The staff were exceptional and friendly. Alondra went above and beyond for anything we needed. The food was amazing and fresh. They set up dinner each night on our patio for a nice quiet and intimate dinner. Thank you all for such a wonderful stay!

Maxi and his wife were such lovely hosts. They went out of their way to make sure that we had all the info that we needed about the area, including access to the surfbreaks, which was very much appreciated. Lovely treehouses that were built with love and thought by the owners. Very eco-minded, which we support 100 percent. The cabin was suspended in the jungle in a very quiet location, yet close to the beaches, which were a 5 minute walk away. Every day we could hear the Howler monkeys in the distance and hear and see the wide variety of tropical birds. Listening to the sounds of nature was so peaceful. We loved our stay there!

Beautiful area, clean, dolphin spotting from the terrace, free use of wooden canoe, great snorkeling just around the corner, Sebastian is very kind and a good cook. Keep in mind that prices are ex tax and you pay a 10 dollar fee if you pay by credit card :)

Palmar Beach Lodge is located on the famous Red Frog Beach, within walking distance of the Bastimentos National Marine Park. The property features an on-site bar, restaurant, and a lounge. The staff was incredibly nice and friendly. The room was really nice. It felt a little bit humid but I guess it rained a lot. It is a beach front place so that really makes a difference , very comfortable lovely place awesome view awesome beaches Food is good great. It can be quiet at night so it’s nice for a relaxing time.
