One of Vancouver Island’s most comfortable and welcoming stay experiences, the Old House Hotel has it all: location; spacious, individually designed suites; inviting amenities such as kitchenettes and... It was our first time staying at this property - the staff were lovely. There was a bit of confusion at check-in as our friends arrived earlier than we did and as we made the booking they were unable to check-in without us initially. The front desk staff were able to speak with me over the phone and following their protocols, were able to check-in our friends by using their CC as the card on file. Also, we were given a complimentary upgrade from a 1 bedroom suite to a 2 bedroom suite which was a lovely surprise and very much appreciated.

When Westjet screwed up the reservation for me and my pets (I had been boarding my cats), I came back to Port Augusta and the extremely competent and friendly front desk women relieved my stress by saying I could have my same room back, and yes, both my dog and cats were welcome for another night!
