Dinners which can be had if pre-ordered are superb. The hotel is just above the road, which itself is quiet. Footpaths into the woods and mountains within a couple of minutes. Located just outside Bad Schandau, a 30 minute walk or 10 minutes by the famous tram which stops outside (bus also, but why use this!) We had no car, only used public transport, or walked - it was perfect. There is so much to see and do in and around Bad Schandau, and this is the perfect hotel to base yourself.

The receptionists were personable, helpful, and kind. Our room was perfect for three people and used the pull out couch for one of us. It was comfortable. The sauna was a bonus! We enjoyed the open kitchen and honor system for drinks. I would stay here again.
