The Mason Arms is located on Devon’s Jurassic Coast, just a 10-minute walk from Branscombe Beach. Our 10/10 stay at this place started the night we arrived. After a somewhat harrowing drive in the dark/rain/fog down a tiny road we were exhausted. The lovely man (Dan who it turns out was just filling in but did a bang up job) at the check in just took us straight to our (out of this world) room and said "Check in in the morning, no problem" and handed us a pot of cream (... this is for your coffee/tea). The room itself was huge and gorgeous with a full sitting room area, mini kitchen and a giant king sized bed that was so comfortable I would still be there if I could. The bathroom had a great shower and a giant bath tub. We stumbled across to the pub and (although it was past kitchen closing) the chef made us a lovely salmon dinner. Things just got better from there - gorgeous full breakfasts, lovely dinners, kind and caring staff EVERYWHERE. The town is tiny but stunning with plenty of interesting historical buildings and great hikes both around the area and over to the next town (charmingly called Beer). Thank you to Dan, Sophie, Connor and Hannah for making our stay so incredibly special.

I loved the Christmas decorations as they were very tasteful. I loved that they lit a fire in the evening. I thank the staff for their attentive, professional, humble way of looking after me. I will definitely be coming back.

Es una agradable ciudad, no muy grande, pero muy bien situada para realizar visitas por toda la zona de West County y Devon. Alojarnos en Royal William Yard, además de bonito, fue muy práctico porque la zona cuenta con diversos restaurantes.

La ubicación muy tranquila en un pueblo típico de Devon, pero cerca de muchos sitios para visitar: Dartington Hall, Totnes, Dartmoor, Dartmouth, etc. Hay muchos paseos encantadores desde la propia puerta. Amazing hotel with great spa. The heated outdoor pool and sauna are lovely. The rooms are super new and comfy - loved the slippers and bath robe. We only got to stay for a night but it felt really relaxing. The breakfast was delicious. And the staff was absolutely amazing and lovely. The little sea side village is very cute. Would definitely come back

Reception staff were excellent as was the lady who served the breakfast which was lovely the gym man not so polite he was rather rude to my partner and also not very welcoming to me either. Room was excellent and great value and the facilities were good. The grounds and gardens were beautiful.

We expected Clovelly to be crowded but our mid-week visit found it to be very quiet. Dinner at the Red Lion was great with lots of locally caught fish and lobster options on the menue. We had a table with views of the harbour and up toward the village. All staff we met were friendly, very helpful and took time to chat and give advice on getting around the village and what to do locally.
