Highly recommended - we had dinner and breakfast, and they were both amazing. The accomodation is very comfortable, and the staff very nice. The location is easy to get to, even by public transport (there is a bus stop with the same name as the hotel right in front of it). You can take a regular bus to/from Edinburgh, which is pretty cheap.

The castle is beautiful, original and has an interesting history. The room was spacious. Spa was a comfortable added value. Dinnering in the Dungeon restaurant with its preceeding practise/ceremony was a great experience not to be missed.

The camp was in very good condition upon arrival and everything is available as promised. A good mix of camping experience with all facilities available. Perfect for families.

The name is accurate. Secret hideaway. Loved the rural atmosphere with horses in the field behind and the lovely little pond in front. The space was clean, comfortable and hi tech. Loved the hot tub that was ready to enjoy when we arrived. It was a quiet peaceful night of sleep.

Close to Edinburgh ( 20 minute train ride ) for a day trip from Glenarch House . Would recommend the train to Waverley station in Edinburgh . It’s a self catering property , so will need to work out meals for yourselves . Morrisons ( a supermarket) is relatively close for grocery shopping .

Located in Borthwick and only 19 km from University of Edinburgh, Borthwick Farm Cottage Pottery provides accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. The location was brilliant as we were going to a wedding at the castle. The pottery was so cosy and ticked all the boxes, both of the owners were so welcoming and attentive. We even got lucky with the chickens and had fresh eggs! We will definitely be returning. 5*****
