All the little extras. Tea coffee, picnic basket, even a first aid kit! The most idyllic setting where all you can hear is the waves crashing and birds singing! Peace on earth! One of the best places I’ve ever stayed! Breakfast was delivered to the room as well!

We liked probably everything about this property :-).. Where do we start; the accommodation has a very homely feel. Everyone here is very friendly and helpful. Our room was freshly painted with a great air-con and very very clean. We had a lovely sitting area with a kitchenette as well. The furnishings were very nice and the mattress was sooooooo comfortable! So were the pillows. The bed was very spacious! The place serves lovely food and non-alcoholic drinks such as Fanta, Sprite and Coke or water and they do care about every detail when the food is served. It is very near the beach. Please bring enough cash with you as the nearest ATM is about 20 mins by taxi. The property has a lovely pool in case you don’t feel like going to the beach. We totally enjoyed our stay here and special thanks to Musa and Nadine.

Offering a garden and inner courtyard view, Unique Owl Apartments is situated in Sanyang, 24 km from Bijolo Forest Reserve and 27 km from Abuko Nature Reserve. The best place in Gambia. I had a very clean, nice room, the breakfast was the best I had in Africa/Gambia. ENGHA, she is such a friendly host. I will come back again. The place is very silence and clean, there is a beautiful garden, you can sit in the shadow and you have your breakfast outside, when you want. I M SO HAPPY HERE.

The comfy and the tranquility of the place is relaxing full of nature is one of the most beautiful places in sanyang South Gambia is very close to the beach , the rooms are big and comfortable we enjoyed it so much we will stay there again for sure when we came back next year the owners Lamin & Silvia are wonderful hosts the make us feel like home.

I loved everything—the place, the friendly stuff, the host, the nature. We came here after our friend recommended it to us, and we were not disappointed. The breakfasts were very nice, and the food in general was amazing. The Retreat is in a place that is 5 minutes walking distance from a BEAUTIFUL beach and a nice beach bar. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. Do not hesitate if you are looking for a genuine experience. It is so peaceful!

Really enjoyable, peaceful and a birdwatchers paradise. Oliver and Helen were exceptional hosts and we will definitely be returning. They cooked us wonderful meals every evening ,the best food that we've eaten in the Gambia. They were great company too. It's a taxi ride to the beach. This place is a hidden gem and a must stay if you are in Sanyang.
