The hotel is very modern with in a good designed architecture and directly at the railway and tram station. Especially a corner room is marvelous and has a great view. The in house onsen is good. The breafast is very good, maybe the breakfast room is a little bit to narrow.

I was blown away by the location and the interior comfort of the hotel. The room felt new and very well maintained. Clean and comfortable beds with well thought out amenities in the room. It is also just next to the Aso train station. My room view was a mountain view which was breathtaking. Hotel also provide free usage of the microwave and free coffee, miso soup, etc that you can conveniently make and enjoy a cuppa at the reading room area.

Featuring 3-star accommodation, Place Hotel Ascot is set in Kumamoto, 1.4 km from Kumamoto Castle and 1.9 km from Hosokawa Residence Gyobutei. The hotel was fantastic in so many ways. The price was affordable for the range of services provided including a comprehensive breakfast and various smaller amenities including pajamas, toiletries, soaking salts, etc. Service was great and my room was clean and comfortable. It was also quiet despite being next to a busy commercial arcade. I highly recommend this hotel and plan to stay again in the future.
