Blue Sky turned out to be the perfect place for us during our stay in Nallathanniya. It is conveniently located just a short walk from the entrance to Sri Pada. There is a restaurant and small shop on the premises. The view was a mix of tea clad hills diving into a river valley with the peak of Sri Pada in the background. The owner, Mr. Nilantha, and his family were kind, generous and very accommodating. They helped us plan our walk to the top of Sri Pada, loaned us walking sticks and even sent us off with a thermos full of warm, local tea. We also enjoyed the conversations we shared upon returning. The property is convenient, comfortable amd good value. Parking is available on site if needed. The shower was strong with ample hot water. The bed was large and the room spacious. Our room included a small balcony with seating. The owners and staff are perfect examples of the warm, friendly Sri Lankan hospitality that we have come to know and love!

This was by far the best stay we had in Sri Lanka (probably in my life), and we haven't even finished our trip yet! First and foremost, the staff, Krishna and Najvy (I'm probably spelling that wrong) made this experience exceptional. They were so helpful, caring, and genuine. Krishna gave us service that was over and beyond like anything we'd had before. He's also charming and so funny, so be ready to enjoy his wit. Najvy is both as brilliant a cook as he is a concierge. He introduced us to more Sri Lankan dishes than we had encountered in our first week, and he was eager to share items that we'd only be able to discover if we had lived in the country for an extended period of time. His recommendations for activities perfectly suited our limited time, and he helped arrange our transport which ensured that we paid fair rates. He even packed us a breakfast for the sunrise hike at Horton Plains, and Krishna served us coffee to get us going. In addition, the rooms and grounds were all cleaned meticulously and well maintained. In short, this place is reason enough to visit Nuwara Eliya, and will be on our list of destinations when we return.

Very friendly owner, he took us to a restaurant around the corner for lunch, which was very trendy and worth a try (we also got a 20% discount). Spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed, all round nice atmosphere. Lovely breakfast in the garden. Walking distance to the lake or short tuk tuk ride.

Amazing, exceptional, and very well thought out - That’s how we would describe our stay here While one has been to many (arguably) more scenic locations, however staying at this hotel has been the best experience ever. From the moment we got to the property, we were pampered thoroughly, be it the food or offering to take us to the attractions or arranging the specific vehicle we wanted, or even the smallest details in terms of how the room should be kept, table arrangements etc. Must say that Dushyanta (the GM) has put in a lot of efforts in finding the best team possible and the results are there to be seen – every person on the staff here is willing to go over and beyond their job, wanting to make sure the guests are comfortable. Special thanks to Chef Royce, the pastry chef and their entire team for serving sumptuous 6 course meals, catering to all our dietary constraints - each item served was just plain delicious; to Janaka, Chandu and others for taking care of us and to Amanda for figuring out our travel related details. We will surely be back next time we are in Sri Lanka.

Honestly feels like it was designed to live in, it has all the touches of home. Better than many hotels I’ve experienced.
