Summer Time Hiriketiya is a lovely place to stay with beautiful gardens. The property is away from the main highway so there is no noise from the buses and traffic going past. It is a short walk to Hiriketiya Beach, and if you go a little further you we be at the big empty beach at Dikwella. Hiriketiya is very relaxing and is easy to get around, with a lot of nice cafes and restaurants. MOND is a great restaurant if you are wanting an ocean view and it’s also very peaceful, and has great lattes. Thanuja is an excellent host. He organised my laundry, and a tuk tuk driver. The room was clean, breakfast was great and I highly recommend going to Blue Beach for snorkelling-there’s barely any people there which is a bonus!

The kind family that owns and runs the hotel went above and beyond to help answer questions and organize us a car, tuk tuk, check train times, and even allowed a late check out due to change of plans. Overall great atmosphere and location, would definitely stay again!
