Makikita ang 4-star Hotel do Canal sa Horta sa Faial Island. 100 metro lamang ang layo nito mula sa beach at nag-aalok ng mga panoramikong tanawin ng Pico Mountain at ng look. Although the building seemed to be older from outside, the rooms and interior was very comfy and cozy. Located right at the esplanade, but very quiet at nights. Stunning view of moutain Pico from our room. We were given a small gift from the staff (fresh fruits, water and pastry), that was very nice. Free garage parking for guests.

Set in a 16th century fortress overlooking Horta Bay and Pico island, this Pousada hotel features a swimming pool and regional restaurant. Most of the air-conditioned rooms have views of the marina. Breakfast was wonderful, with an abundance of choices offered. My knees were sore after some hikes and the staff was able to provide ice for me. We also were easily able communicate with the staff.
