Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyThe breakfast options were severely limited for people with a vegan or lactose free diet. They had soy milk, but all milk options were in the same jugs and there was always the danger of grabbing the wrong one. They offered margarine but it was not lactose free. Also, the dishes did not have any allergen information. There is a club close by that is very loud on weekend nights. I was not able to sleep until it closed around 5am. Therefore, even though I liked the hotel in general I would not book there again if I was staying at the weekend.
Hotel is very close to the train station. Rooms are clean and modern, and the bed as well as the small couch are comfortable.

AustraliaLight at the bed side had to be fixed by maintenance. Channel listed on TV not available, manager went to check if it was available and never came back. I wanted to watch the football. Bathroom light shines onto bed so if one person gets up during the night and turns the bathroom light on it disturbs the other person. I booked last November and requested a higher level room but I didn't get one. Six months should be plenty of notice. Beds seem small. Pillows too soft.
Breakfast was good. Great location. Staff were efficient and very busy.

Hong KongHousekeeping need improvement as rubbish in room not disposed one day and rubbish bin in toilet not cleared the other day. We stayed here for 6 days and there was no vegetables in 2 days' breakfast.
Great location close to Rail station and shopping area and restaurants nearby. Buffet breakfast is good but would be perfect if more vegetables available.

AustraliaEntering the hotel via the laneway was a bit hard to find (signage on glass doors left me unsure I was entering the right spot). It was ok to park immediately next door in the parking complex, but the bins between the carpark and hotel were foul.
Hotel and room was modern and spacious. Loved the clever room layout. Breakfast was good quality and staff were excellent. Parking immediately next door was nice and convenient.

AustraliaParking! We were not forewarned of the payment and need for validation before parking. Staff need more intensive training!!! Some staff do don’t know answers to questions or told us wrong information. Poor quality evening pizzas - frozen then heated up!!!!! Get your act together if you want satisfied clients.
Modern and clean.

AustraliaStayed for 6 nights but the whole new bed sheet sets & doona covers were changed only once. Very disappointing experience. Expected for 2 times not one! Do not expect smiles from check-in, check-out or counter staff. No one greeted you with smiles for that 6 nights stay. However most staff in the breakfast time are lovely, helpful and hard working.
Convenient location...short walk to get free trams from Adelaide Raiway Station or Rundle Mall Station. Free breakfast is okay and enough. 4 selections of rotated hot food each day... ranging from scrambled eggs, canned bean, bacon, beef sausages, grilled zucchini or hash brown. Plus cereals, juices, yoghurts, fresh fruits, small bakeries, toasts and coffee & teas.

AustraliaWe travelled as a family of 4 adults, and stayed for 4 nights. We made the booking 6 weeks in advance through booking.com, with two simple requests (1) 1 Queen room and 1 Twin room and (2) Rooms to be close together during booking. We understand this is subject to availability, but believe 6 weeks was sufficient time for the hotel to organise this. Upon check-in neither request was met, and the staff didn't seem to care either (the individual responded by saying that he had a long day). The staff were quite unhelpful and even suggested that in future we should make the booking directly with the hotel. The booking included free parking. However we were informed by the hotel that they use an external parking facility, and we were allowed only 1 exit per day (additional exits would cost approx. $25-$38). Had I known this beforehand we very likely would not have chosen this hotel. Prior to leaving I had a discussion with the senior manager who apologised for the inconvenience. The manager also explained that in terms of room allocations, the hotel first considers requests made by direct bookings, and only after that they consider 3rd party booking platforms. I'm sure hotels get a significant volume of bookings through 3rd party platforms/websites, and to treat these like 2nd class is highly unprofessional, disrespectful and unacceptable way to treat guests. For the inconvenience, the manager refunded us 1 nights' stay and provided 1 additional parking exit. Though this gesture and transparency was appreciated, it still left a bitter taste of our experience with the hotel.
Great location. Rooms were clean and well maintained, making for a comfortable stay.

New ZealandThe cooked breakfast wasn't very consistent. Sometimes there were eggs sometimes they were coming in 20 minutes. Sometimes the hash browns were cold. Please could you add chardonnay to the happy hour. We will be back to check on this!
The room was lovely. The happy hour was a good deal in pleasant surroundings. We met lovely groups of people during our stay. The staff were excellent and very helpful, from desk staff to cleaning staff. We will definitely come back.
