The whole vibe of the place was great. Great beer garden, nice drink selection. Room was really cosy and lovely. Beautiful building. Really well located. Fantastic price, especially for allowing a dog too. Staff were fantastic and you even got a discount on food and drink in the pub, which is great.

The shower did have a bit of an issue with pressure. It would come out full blast, then lose pressure and it gets hotter when it happens. Then a few seconds later, it goes back to full pressure. Also the TV had a "demo" setting that I couldn't remove for some reason, so it had an annoying overlay on the screen that I couldn't get rid off.

The breakfast was ok but no hash browns or black pudding or veggie sausage option which I had expected plus the mugs had run out to get a hot drink.I had to cancel one of the rooms I had booked and despite 3 phone calls the refund was not processed and only got sorted when I arrived and the got sorted in a few minutes and the manager advised me there were no notes to indicate the refund was pending.There was no bottled water supplied .The Toilet did not flush properly which I advised reception on my departure

Breakfast lack of cereal choice.Lack of table choice.Cooked breakfast average . On arrival for breakfast on the second day along with another couple we did not realise we had to book a table ! This should be made clear on arrival and not relying on guests reading the small print in the rule book in the room ! Was surprised to find cleaners had been in the room whilst we were having breakfast on the first morning! This is not normal practice ! ! Hotel is really nice but a few issues need attention to bring it into line with most others !

Descriptions need to be clearer. A cosy double is actually a single. Then don't call it a double. Food and drinks are costly service charges are placed on bills without drawing your attention. Food also had to be sent back because it was cold. So Food temp regulations are not followed by serving staff. Our food was left on the end of the bar under no heat lamps whilst Food was delivered to another couple. Finally, chaos in the morning with no control of the car park by hotel.staff. coaches blocked every exit and entrance. Preventing a lock in for.all.other users. I had to seek out the driver of a coach to move.back 5 feet to allow taxis to move. I Would suggest it is the responsibility of the hotel to control the flow in its own carpark .
