BulgariaThe girls in the animation room (for the kids). They check your kid in in a sheet and check it out, nothing else. They just flow in the room , interception with the kids is really poor and i don't think they really like their job. Thats the reason i'm giving the hotel a 9-star with the hope that next time we visit they'll have it fixed and i'll leave a 10 :) Prices in the main restaurant are a bit more expensive than they are supposed to be. But beside that the hotel is really nice and we will definately come back again.
It's my second stay in this hotel and it was really , really nice. The staff was amazing everywhere- in the spa, in the restaurant (with some exceptions) ,at the reception , at the bar. Spa is small but very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was fine , nothing spectacular.

Nice hotel good rooms, very good for families also with small children/baby. Good they have big parking next to the hotel and shuttels during the morning and afternoon to and from the gondola. Supermarket near by. Very good SPA and good prices for the treatments, very nice pools and good breakfast. Good value overall

BulgariaWe were with child and our impression was that the breakfast was a buffet with a special kids' corner with healthy food. Unfortunately, it turned out that on week days or ones with a few people staying, no buffet or children's options were available but you can choose a meal per person from a set menu (pancakes, toast, banitsa, etc). Everything we ordered was very tasty, it's just that our expectations were different and it was a bit disappointing.
The facilities, the beds, the food, everything was prepared with great care and the staff was extremely polite and helpful. The hotel is 10 minutes away from the center which is very convenient. It is really quiet and great for relaxation. The spa is exquisite, especially the pools - there is a big one with extras, salt pool and children's pool (all with warm water but not too warm); sauna, herbal sauna, 2 steam baths, jacuzzi, cold bath, shock shower, contrast shower, salt room (if you wish to pay extra), etc. We will return again for sure.

GermanyFor being such a family focused hotel, I would expect their restaurants to be more kid friendly. Kid menus weren’t available at any restaurant, and every restaurant was very inflexible about making something kid friendly. For example, asked at the Italian restaurant if our kid could just have plain spaghetti and were told no. Asked for fries with the schnitzel instead of potatoes (the steak came with fries so they were on the menu) and again, were told no. The hotel is amazing for kids but their restaurants were not, so we ended up having to drive to town for meals and parking in town each evening got pricey.
Awesome facilities. We really enjoyed the spa, the kids club was fantastic, and our kids loved all the games

Bulgaria2 things. One was important, one - minor: 1. Our room was extremely hot and dry so it was very uncomfortable to sleep for all of us. We had lowered the heating to 0 or 1 (I've forgotten by the time of the review, but it was very low) and it was still super hot. That was not an issue for another family we spoke with who were on a higher floor. We were on the 2nd, they were on the 4th. Could've been an issue only with us - if you get a hot room, don't do like us and grin and bear it - ask for a change, they're very helpful and proably will find a solution for you. 2. The gaming room with the consoles was obsolete and damaged. There were only PlayStation 3 consoles (this was discontinued in 2016, 8 years ago) and that would be OK if they worked. But there were only 2 controllers for both consoles and one of them was broken and didnt'work. Not that I would've spent hours there, but it was unpleasant when I wanted to spend 15 minutes while I was waiting and I couldn't play anything for that time :) First world problems right there.
A great hotel with very good food and a lot of entertainment for the kids. They had put some things specifically for our daughter in the room and that always makes me happy because she loves it when there is some special attention for her. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. The breakfast was varied and delicious every morning. The SPA was nice, too. The room was clean and spacious. There is free parking included. There is a good variety of a-la-catre restaurants if you want to dine in the hotel. The swiss one was the most peculiar for us with all the different cheeses there (keep in mind it's quite pricey) There is a shuttle to the gondola though we didn't use it as we weren't skiing this time. But it's important because the gondola is outside of walking distance with ski shoes from the hotel :)

United KingdomThe only suggestion we can make is the food for breakfast to be labelled. It will make both, guests and staff life easier to know what allergens and ingredients are in the food.
We are a family of three and we stayed a total of five nights at Lucky Bansko. All of us really enjoyed the spa centre in particular. The pool, the herbal sauna, the steam rooms, the ice cold bucket and ice bath etc. My wife had a few massages done, which she described as a very relaxing and pleasant experience. Since we are all vegans, for breakfast we found what is expected to be found in a hotel like this, such as cereals, seeds, nuts, dry and fresh fruits, soy milk, however I would like to express my sincere admiration to Martin (the Chef) who came outside the kitchen and asked me what else we would like to have for breakfast. The next day we were so delighted to find out that he and his team have prepared plant-based pancakes, two types of hummus, smoked tofu, chia pudding, plant-based butter and filo pastry made out of pumpkin and walnuts. Apart from Martin, a few other staff members are worth mentioning for their exceptional service: Georgi (bellboy), Virginia (Spa), Dian and Georgi (Lifeguards) and our hotel-maid (sorry, forgot her name). Overall, we felt very lucky to stay at Lucky Bansko!

At first I was worried because it was not so close to gondola but there are so many times available this was not a problem at all . Great restaurants for dinner , we ate dinner at the hotel 2 nights and it was good. I also arranged a birthday cake for my husband through the lobby bar. We had a very memorable stay, 10/10 for all staff. We will recommend our friends and would definitely come back to this hotel when we visit bansko again. Spa, room and hotel general areas are much better in person than in photos which is rare!

KosovoThe only concern was about the wi-fi in our rooms, 314 and 316. During the entire stay it wasn’t working properly or sometimes at all (eventhough we addressed it several times as an issue)!
Everything else (except for wi-fi, as stated bellow) was wonderful, including exceptional breakfast and food at Leonardo’s! We had a chance to stay at other hotels in Bansko before, however the experince we had at Lucky Bansko will make us consider visting it again!

RomaniaAs described above, the hotel has a lot of facilities, but I would say the room furniture and bathroom are not necessarily incredible or the best (they are not bad either, it’s just that they didn’t give me the impression of a 5 star hotel). In the bathroom, the shower tap was not the most qualitative one and it was a little bit difficult to switch in between shower modes. I think a refurbishing would be really beneficial. The lobby is as well, not the most spectacular one, and a little bit narrow (when we arrived there were so many people in there that you could hardly go past them), but these are just some details which would definitely not interfere with the overall enjoyment of the stay.
We were very pleased with the facilities offered by this hotel, which live up to the 5 star expectations (maybe not a full 5 star, but I would say it deserves a 9.5 out of 10). The spa was great and the numerous spa treatment options (which are not included in the price) were incredible, I tried the micronised algae one and it was very nice and refreshing + super healthy for the body. I liked the numerous spa facilities, among which cold baths, steam and dry sauna, jacuzzis, contrastive showers, a pool which was definitely not a boring standard one, but was also full of options such as hydromassage, counter current etc, which you could activate from the sides. The food at breakfast was great and varied, I also observed they also had plenty of options for children (such as fruit puree etc). Their restaurant was also good, we ordered room service twice and it was great. Every evening we would also get a free Bulgarian desert in our room, as a “good night sweet” which was a lovely gesture which showed us the hotel staff is really attentive and caring. Regarding the transport towards the slopes, it was the best. We could go either to the gondola or directly to the top of the mountain (saving in this way hours of waiting in the queue at the bottom, since Bansko is well known for the terrific queues at the gondola). We booked every day our transport to the top for the next day, and it was amazing!! It was also nice that we could buy our ski passes directly from the reception and we also received a 10% discount to one of the best ski rentals in the area from which we got our skis. The ski storage room was also good, with enough space, surveillance camera and everything you needed to keep your equipment safe.

We absolutely loved everything. The room had a view of the mountains and was very comfortable. The spa was fantastic! We also booked massages which were amazing. The breakfast was good and all staff were very friendly. The shuttle took us into town but it wasn’t too far to walk when the shuttle wasn’t running.
