Positive section of review
I really appreciated the fact that this hostel is located in the middle of the city, but also feels very safe and well organized within the hostel walls. The hostel entrance is monitored by staff on a 24 hour basis. The hostel also provides lockers for guests to use. There are multiple bathrooms. The rooms are cleaned and beds changed on a regular basis. It really feels like a sancuary in the midst of a bustling city. Going forward, I expect that this will be my default option if I am looking for a bed in this location.

Marco and the rest of the staff were amazing. Very helpful to accommodate early departures and late arrivals as well as helping with tour bookings. Breakfast was great, just by the beach and a short walk to most restaurants. The chalés are incredibly well decorated with all you need to enjoy your stay in Atins.

The place is very small, but the rooms are spatious and decorated with good taste. It really looks like what is shows in the pictures. The breakfast was amazing and the personnel aswell. I full recommend staying here!

Really beautiful hotel with great gym, small convenient shop and pool. The staff was helpful and friendly despite the language barrier.

The tiles in the pool were a bit green and dirty. The blond cleaner was rude and one time warned me to (don’t go there) because she just mopped the floor with grumpy face. Another thing is that cleaners were having loud conversations on the corridors in the morning so that woke me up.

Actually because of the low price tag nobody should complain about any flows. Still I'll mention some inconveniences 1) the living area is super-packed, incl. room and lobby. I would appreciate a bit more spacious common space to work/read on a laptop. 2) as there is no aircon in the room we kept the window open so all noise from the street was disturbing over the night. 3) half of the night was itching because of the small nasty fleas. Also, be aware to tag your food in the fridge which is usually packed because of its size. Otherwise your food will discarded on a daily basis.

Service: On the day of check-in, the staff told me there will be two bottles of complimentary still water in the room. Upon entering the room, nothing there and I called up reception, and they said they would ask the housekeeping department to give me that. After waiting for 1 hour there was nobody coming. I have to call the housekeeping and ask for the water. They came within 5 minutes but to my surprised, they told me to sign the receipt as this is chargeable. After I insisted that this is the complimentary, they accept that. Room service : they didn't provide a hard copy of menu in the room. After checking with reception, the menu is available as soft copy on the TV. What disappointing me was I cannot load the menu on TV after 5 tries, it's really a waste of time. Second day, i ordered room service again. I called and there was one man answered and I confirmed with her whether he can speak English, he answered yes and took my order. After 1 and a half hour of waiting, there is nothing coming. I called room service number again and this time another man answer the call and ask me to hold but he hang up, this happened twice. After forth calls, a lady answered and confirm my order is on the way and asked me to wait in the room. After another half an hour, there is still nothing. I have no choice but to message the front desk. Finally I got my order placed. Generally, quite disappointed.

Difficult check in, if you don’t speak Portuguese. I couldn’t find the “access code” (most important thing). Which was buried amongst a heap of emails and WhatsApp messages - after a 16 hour flight. Seriously - why isn’t that the headline!
