Location is unbeatable. For those being picked up or dropped off, drop-off point 8 is about 5 minutes' easy walk away, next to Hallgrímskirkja (but there's no shelter there). Staff were excellent - friendly and helpful. My room was comfortable with a pleasant view. Everything worked well.

The blind on the window could be better. It's pretty old and starting to deteriorate. Maybe replace with curtains?

The restaurant provided the best meal that we have had in our 2 weeks in Iceland. The cod with mashed potatoes and vegetables, was so much more than its description. Delish!! Spa and hotel was lovely

The cabins are new and the place is cosy and tidy. Nice big window.

The rooms are quite small for 2 people. We struggled with space with our one suitcase and moving our items around. Kitchen was ok but minimal. Hot water was also an issue when trying to have a shower - it started off as warm and then went straight to cold. I waited a while and tried to call check-in but it was too late and couldn't get through. I figured out there was a water heater in the bathroom which I turned on and set but it took ages to get warm. When I tried again it was hot for another minute and then went straight to cold again. :( I went to bed cold and very frustrated! I did mention this issue in the morning and the girl just said sorry. I personally wouldn't book again and felt that for us the place wasn't value for money.
