It was not clear when booking, and room stated it has 2 beds (1 sofa bed). I was travelling with a friend and required 2 separate beds, but only one made up as 2 people were seen as a couple. However, the situation was quickly rectified and the communication at that time was good. Some of the furnishings were tired.

The location was excellent. The property has a beautiful entrance hall and stairs. The apartment and building had many interesting features. The coffee and coffee machine, with some tea and milk were welcome, as were the toiletries.

A bit small bed for 2 persons, so we used also sofa for sleeping, and very noisy street and lack of noise insulation Also we were not notified, that just next close building is in the build process, so from 8am there was loud repairings

Two pillows per person would have been better. Wasn’t clear when booking on the website that the photos were of multiple apartments, we had been expecting an outside space which was visible on pictures of other properties.

The main door's lock wasn't working properly, the good thing is they left us a spare key.

It is not about what we did not like but it is worth to mention. Apartment is in the neighborhood of a Santa Maria Basilica and you should expect sounds of bells regularly. Also, please be ready for a bit of noise due to the building construction next door. It is not very destructive and you may use earplugs which are available in the apartment. It is manageable to stay in these conditions for a week especially if you plan to visit a city and take beach time.

I recommend stay in these apartments. I had a chance to stay in 3a and 3b apartments. Great location to see the city, right next to the MACA museum. Very near to many cultural and art spots. Apartments 3a and 3b which we stayed were exactly how on photos. Small design and decoration details make the apartments atmosphere very special. Kitchen was equipped enough. All was clean. Owner was very responsive. There’s a lift available, so no need to take stairs for 3rd or 4th floor.

You cannot see the sea from the room, it is realy in the city not at the sea side.

It is near to the city center, beach and in general to all turistic attractions. It is in a calm area. The room was quite big and had everything what you need.

Additional pillows would have been nice and blinds/curtains on the lower apartments windows as the bright lights are on all night and shine straight into the room which made it hard to sleep.

The location was great as was the room itself, very central to everything and close to the beach.

We learn from our host that there is ongoing construction next door. Construction started at 8 am. It was quite shocking because this supposed to be disclosed to us ahead of time. Unfortunately we had to leave our apartment one day early as well. Also ceiling in our bathroom was leaking, it needed immediate repairs. We learn that from the host upon arrival… Our host agreed to compensate us for one day… which is September 24th. My question is. Who should I contact in order to get compensation? Our host is not responding. Please advise.

Just a heads up for those who have babies or disability, there is a lift but, it is very small, didn't fit my baby buggy opened, I had to closed it all the time that I used the lift. Sometimes was inconvenient as we were coming back from the beach or shops, the baby was sleeping and I had to take him from the buggy to be able to close it. There are also 3 steps before the lift so this might be a problem for wheelchairs. I would recommend the owner to change the curtain for a blackout one, as the apartment becomes very bright once the sun rises.

Very little to complain about other than the fiendishly uncomfortable chairs on the terrace. This would have been absolutely perfect if there was at least one lounger or reclining seat. Also the shabby chic table on the terrace, constructed from what looked like a former cable drum, is on its last legs and needs replacing with something more solid.

Really lovely studio apartment with views of the beach, the Moorish castle and the gothic church of San Maria from a roomy terrace. Bright and modern and attractively decorated attic level in a charming vintage building in the heart of old Alicante.

Little improvements to consider without too much cost: - soap / shampoo holder at a lower level in the shower, automatic change of towels after 3 days , some nice wine glasses the rest are great, kettle didn’t seem to automatically turn off?, switch to using key code instead of key on inner door. There are building works going on outside the property which wasn’t pleasant at times during the working days but accepted outside of proprietor’s control and didn’t affect the overall enjoyment of our stay.

Kitchenette area and air conditioning. Cool tranquil ambience about apartment, easy 10minute walk form the beach and easy reach of many delightful restaurants and cafes.
