Identifying the hotel was rather confusing, as it is located within an old building. It is essentially an apartment within an old building that has been subdivided into small rooms. 🏢🗝️

The location is near tourist attractions, the Gothic Quarter 🏰 and the beach Playa de la Barceloneta 🏖️. Public transportation (subway metro) is one or two minutes away, which is very convenient 👍, the same for supermarkets 🛒. The paid breakfast is good and is located at the Hotel Santa Marta, a minute away.

We stayed for 5 days. Hotel Lyon is on second floor. 2 days in a road there was noise from 3rd floor - somebody was running in apartment above and you could sometimes hear people from next room speaking.

Location was great. Room was smaller, but really clean, housekeeping was done everyday. For me the most important thing in any accomodation is cleanliness. For this money in Barselona this is great value. Staff was really helpful and nice. Breakfast was served in another hotel 50m away from Lyon, this was fine for us. Good choices for breakfast.

Almost no natural light in the room. The little window opens to a shaft without any view or sun. Good thing is the bathroom window for ventilation and fresh air. Also without a view, but for a bathroom that's even better. Unreliable elevator (2nd floor) if a guest has any mobility issues.

Very small but had everything you need for a short stay. Great location, next to a train and metro stations, as well as the sea.

Overpriced, the view from the room overlooks another building and is not very pleasant. Additionally, the elevator is very small, and the air conditioning is very noisy.

Conveniently located hotel near the beach. The staff at reception and housekeeping were very helpful. The room was comfortable and met our requirements overall.

The lady that was at the reception was very nice, the first night I had to tell the guy at the reception to low down the volume of his voice as was talking very loud with a friend and I had to get up twice, the first time I politely close his door, the second time the door was still opened and I had to talk directly to him. Not normal at 1.30 am.

Ideal for price, so happy with basic room. Small room, no tea/ coffee making facilities, no fridge but we were out most of the time anyway.

Friendly helpful staff..room kept clean..good shower/toilet…best of all was location. Great price for peak time in this perfect location.

We got a room with a balcony which we did not expect. It was clean and comfortable. We have read that many relatively cheap hotels had problems with insects or air conditioners, so we selected Lyon as there were no complaints about these two problems from previous tourists. We were positively surprised by the comfort of the room.

the ac unit in our room made a noise about every 15 or 20 minutes so that was annoying. noise in the rooms by the cleaning people after others checked out. seemed like the walls were thin. the beds were a litter harder than we would have liked.

the location was in the gothic quarter which is where I wanted to be in. the room was only used for sleeping so I was ok with a smaller than normal room. the bathroom was bigger than expected, which was nice.

You can hear everything from the room as everything is so small. Definitely not value for money, as we paid around €700 for 3 nights and the TV does not work. The entrance to Hotel Lyon stinks of mold but at least the elevator works.

Good breakfast for €9 per person. Although you have to go to another hotel 50m away. Metro and McDonalds very close, just around the corner.
