Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

We were lucky to get room 602 which has a big balcony where we had breakfast and nighttime drinks from the supermarket around the corner. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable. Location is 10 minutes away from Sagreda de Famila and metro stop. We got the 4 day metro pass which covers all zones and it was great value. Lots of goid restaurants and cafes in the area.

RomaniaThe walls are paper thin and you can hear everything from the rooms around. Literally everything. If you are a light sleeper, you will need earplugs here for sure.
Location is decent, close to Sagrada Familia. The staff was nice and rooms clean.

FranceA bit noisy (yes I know it's Barcelona) because windows are not very well isolated. The room had limited space to put the luggage
The hotel is very well located and the staff was great. The shower is big. Beds are comfy. Reasonable price compared to other accommodations in Barcelona that has absolutely crazy rates if you want a private room.

United KingdomHotel is in need of a refurbishment as the room was shabby. Also there seems to be no sound proofing between the rooms , especially when toilets are flushed and showers are being used. Very noisy.
Location is excellent within easy reach of Sagrada and easy access to metro stations. Rooms are clean and bed is very comfortable.

ChileThe only issue was the heat, it was very high in the room.
The location is good, with many transport options nearby. Very close to touristic spots like Sagrada Familia and Park Guell. There are many restaurants, coffees, supermarkets, and shops in general nearby. Everything was clean.

United Kingdom1) If you are a light sleeper, the noise from the traffic outside might disturb you 2) The blackout curtains are not good enough to keep the lights away from the room- this will be a problem during the summer 3) The AC in the room doesn't work. It gets pretty warm during the night. 4) The wifi wasnt working for half a day when we checked in.
I liked the location of the property because it's very close to the popular tourist locations. It's easy to find. They allowed us an early check in (2 hours before time) but it depends on the availability, ofcourse.

NorwayCouple of things: Since it's street facing, opening the balcony meant a lot of noise We booked a room for a couple,it was 2 single beds joined together. The beds were good but would slide away from each other, which was quite annoying The bathroom exhaust and pipes were very noisy ,so at nights if one person were to use the toilet,it could wake the other person.
The location was great. Easily accessible to the metro and also near the Sagarda Familia. The rooms were well equipped with a small wardrobe and also a kettle and morning coffee or tea. The room was cleaned well every day and the staff was really helpful. The room is spacious enough since we didn't spend much time in the room except for sleeping. The balcony faces the street and is good to let some fresh air in. Overall the stay was pleasant.

LatviaA bit thin walls and I could hear everything my neigbours were talking about. But maybe it was just because my neigbours were too loud, which was true.
Location is just great. Very close to Sagrada and Sant Pau hospital, which I highly recommend to visit. I walked to the center, which was a nice pleasant walk on a sunny day. Very easy to find the hotel without navigation.

ItalyThe sound isolation is not really good, could hear the sounds from downstairs and from upstairs, also from the road could be quite noisy since it’s facing the street.

SerbiaSound isolation between rooms does not exist! When somebody speak in neighbor room it is like that they are in your room, if they take a shower the noise of running water is so laud that wakes you up …. We stayed 4 night and only once we woke up naturally... Since the people in neighbor room did not shout and just use the shower we did not make any complaints on them - it is not a problem with loud neighbors, but problem with sound isolation
Everything is good except for sound isolation

CanadaThe room itself was very clean, however the size was very small and tight, but still manageable.
The hotel was a 6 min walk away from subway station - Sant Pau-Dos de Maig station (Exit Calle Cartagena) which was great, because from that station, you can connect to all of the other stations and tourist spots. The staff were extremely helpful in showing us which subways to take and how to get to the tourist destinations. There were many food spots (cafes, restaurants) nearby within 10 mins walk, but a lot seemed closed or only open during certain hours which could be a Spain thing. The area itself wasn’t a lively bustling area, but it was a quiet, nice and safe area. Make sure to get a Barcelona metro pass (24/48/72 hours) which is worth it if you choose to take the subway/other trains.
