Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Mornings could be quite loud. Best to take the earplugs from the reception.
Staff were amiable and kind. They even cook tasty dinner for everyone every night which I found was very sweet. Sofia was kind enough to keep my friend's bag in storage even though they did not stay there.

The bed was a little too hard for me, but still comfortable.
I only stayed there one night but I had a really, really good time because from the moment I arrived at the hostel I felt like I was part of a family. When I arrived, Ylke was the receptionist and she did a really good job of making me feel welcome. She is very friendly, warm and communicative, so it was nice to talk to her. Also the rest of the staff are really friendly and do their best to make sure you have a great time. Onefam runs a number of programmes every day where you can join in and meet people from your hostel and other partner hostels. It is the best way to network and make new friends. It's a great place to stay when you're in Barcelona because well located. For example it’s just 20 minutes away from the famous La Rambla shopping street.

Staff was awesome, specially Ylke. Facilities are great as well, one of the comfiest beds I've had and Def the best shower in BCN. 100 percent recommend.

Nothing, everything was superb!
Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. Beds were extremely comfortable and the bathrooms were always clean and looked after daily. The activities were so much fun and it’s sooo easy to meet new people because of them and all the staff are incredible. Massive shout out to Sofia, Ylke, Lauren, Maren, Azul, Moni, Brandon and Wyatt, they made the stay unforgettable!! ❤️

Nothing, it’s amazing. 10/10. If you come to Barca, you NEED to come here. It will be a disservice to your trip if you don’t book here.
The facilities were 10/10. It was always clean and the location is AMAZING. 20 minute walk to the beach, 5 minute walk to a hike. IT’S THE BEST LOCATION, FACILITIES, STAFF, AND VIBES. The staff is so good. Ylke and Sofia are some of the best receptions I’ve seen across 50+ hostels I’ve been to. They are so attentive and they love their jobs and hostel with a passion. Every person that works here LOVES the hostel lifestyle with a passion and it rubs off to everyone. Wyatt is a brilliant volunteer with ton of experience (and a great cook). Always makes sure the party and energy is up.

I think it would be nice to offer the towel in the price. I got to borrow one for free so for me it was ok but I think this should be included
I stayed first for two nights and decided to come back to Onefam Rambles a second time when I came back to Barcelona. The staff was very nice, the place is clean, has a terrasse, well organized kitchen with everything you need, many activities and so on.

This is the best hostel I’ve ever stayed in! The activities during the day are great, the nights out are fun and the staff is absolutely fantastic. I met so many great people during my time in Barcelona.

Brilliant hostel with amazing activities and staff! Great evenings with a meal made by the volunteers and thereafter drinking games before a bar crawl. Special mention to Juan and Maren who made the stay so comfortable and exciting!!

Showers were not consistently warm.
Social aspect. Best hostel to meet people. Staff were friendly, fun and made you feel comfortable. It’s the best hostel I’ve stayed in, they provide a meal and do all sorts of activities.

Onefam Ramblas is by far the best Onefam Hostel I’ve had the pleasure and privilege of staying. The location, The amenities, and of course the vibe are truly amazing! Whether chilling on the terrace making great connections with likeminded travellers or hanging out downstairs indulging in the free dinner provided by the volunteers. This place is absolutely worth the visit. A big shout out to Sofia and Marin. Two truly exceptional souls. The moment you walk through the door these two will make sure you understand the lay of the land and feel welcome. Anyways what are waiting for? Book your stay now!!!!! I mean right now!!!!

I had a really great time at Onefam Ramblas. You'll feel like you're part of a second family there. The staff is super friendly and helpful, they'll take good care of you. The hostel organizes a lot of fun activities during the day, and at night you can enjoy some gaming.

I liked pretty much everything including the slightly broken bed with a mattress that was sinking in.
Super friendly staff. Lots of little free things that make it very pleasant to stay like free toiletries drawer or whatsapp group with recommendations for local cafes etc
