Current renovation works meant the corridor resembled a building site! But the room was fine so, while it was a bit disconcerting, it didn't actually affect my stay!

The property were doing renovations and this detracted from our visit - not much they could do about this, although it was never mentioned to us before or after.

The room was very clean, the bed was super comfy. The shower was great. The view was amazing (sea view). The food was lovely and reasonably priced. The staff were so welcoming and polite, we didn't ask for much but we got the sense that nothing would be too much trouble. Plenty of parking with a car park to the rear, a few spaces outside the front and there is another car park across the road. We will definitely be back. Thanks again.

We were not informed of the refurbishment when we phoned for room upgrade or that the restaurant was closed when I reserved a table.

Scaffolding on building which was unexpected and impeded the views. Room shook when workmen started. Lock on bedroom door faulty.

Road noise from outside. Ongoing building not informed about. Breakfast was cold. Leaking radiator in room, informed staff nothing done. Humming noise in room, from what I can only imagine was the adjoining rooms extraction fan left on all night. Luckily we brought earplugs. No extra bedding or even a blanket. Bar drinks were expensive, a can of Barrs lemonade with a 59p price on the can was sold to me for £2.50!!!

I think this was Booking.com rather than the hotel but our booking did not match what we got: 1. we searched for dog friendly hotels and then were quoted a price for the two rooms we booked, but when we called the hotel ahrad of time tp check the booking had gone through we learnt there was a £30 extra charge for the dog even though Booking.com lksged it as pet friendly and wed searched only fpr dog friendly places. This wasn't visible on the booking process 2. Booking.com said the rooms had balconies or sea views, neither of ours did 3. Booking.com said we'd have adjacent rooms (2 adults, 2 older kids) but we didn't (we got room 9 and 12) Having said all that, the team at the hotel expressed their exacerbation at Booking.com not conveying the right info on their site and I believe this not to be the fault of the hotel It was a gorgeous stay but just a shame we didn't quite get what we thought we were getting
