The Courtyard was a fantastic find. It was cosy and well equipped. A welcome pack was there for our needs and unlike a lot of places we have visited it had a fridge… so fresh milk for teas and coffee. The outside area was romantic and charming … so lovely to sit in. The location was great as we could leave the car and explore the area by train as the station was on the doorstep. Would definitely recommend. The host was very accommodating and quick to respond to any quieries we had before,during and on departure.

Would have liked to have been able to wash mugs and plates somewhere other than the bathroom basin. Had the weather been wet we would have been short of somewhere to sit. Fortunately we were able to sit outside.

Ideally located with parking provided. No train noise and a lovely outside space to enjoy. Accommodation with a great sense of style. Helpful host, quick to respond to messages.

There was nothing to dislike about the property, the only thing that we would suggest, is because of the light mornings during the summer, is perhaps, to have linings on the curtains, or a blackout blind. Only because we woke up at 5:30 am due to the day light. This isn’t a criticism at all as the property is perfect, it’s simply just personal preference and a small suggestion.

This is the perfect property, if you are staying in Deal and exploring the area. We stayed here so that we could visit Walmer Castle and Deal Castle for a last minute break away. The accommodation is well appointed, with everything you need. Including plenty of milk, tea and coffee, a loaf of bread with butter and jam is for breakfast which is a really nice little touch. The outside courtyard area is really lovely and welcoming, unfortunately the weather was not on our side during our stay to use it. Jo was a fabulous host, and very quick to respond to a query we had. If you are looking for somewhere to eat in the evening, we went to the Smugglers bar and restaurant in St Margaret’s at Cliffe, the food and service in there was first class, highly recommended. We chose the perfect place for a last minute break away I would highly recommend this beautiful property, you have absolutely everything you need here.

A little difficult to wash crockery etc in bathroom sink.No other negatives.

Although small much thought and care been taken in layout of bedroom and bathroom.Absolutely beautiful private garden which used as outdoor living room to enjoy coffee and toast provided in the morning and perfect to relax in for the evening.Not planned but used the train to visit Deal and Folkestone as station just across the road.

It is quiet and peaceful, so nicely decorated and the garden is lovely- sadly we couldn't use it much because it was a bit cold. Also we were left tea, coffee, bread, butter and jam for breakfast. We'll come back!

Very lovely decorated . The garden is wonderfull area to relax after sightseeing the hole day. The area is silent ,only The train you can hear sometimes. In The Appartement is bread, Butter,jam, Toaster, Coffee,milk,tea and a small refrigerator

Amazing host, beautiful property. Exceeded expectations for the price. Thought of everything you could think of and more, From sewing kit, first aid kit, bread milk, tea, coffee, biscuits etc. even blankets if you want to sit out in the beautiful courtyard garden. Can’t wait to come back. Didn’t want to leave, soo relaxing.

No dislikes at all. Perfect stay!

Wow!! What an AMAZING place. A gorgeous hideaway which is so relaxing and beautiful. The attention to detail, design and cleanliness were so impressive and we were absolutely delighted! When you first open the gate and enter the courtyard you feel completely blessed. We really managed to switch off and re-charge as it was so quiet, beautiful and peaceful. We felt like we were at a retreat ! Bliss. We nearly stayed in Deal and were so pleased we stayed here instead. Everything we wanted to see locally was in easy reach. Jo, thank you for being a brilliant host and thinking of everything one might need....you can really see you don't cut any corners.

Nothing, just wish we had booked to stay longer!

There was no breakfast but host left fresh bread, milk, butter, mixture of jams, tea, coffee. The accommodate was beautiful inside and out. Outside area was like a oasis. Jo was a great host available if you needed anything and cared you had a fabulous time. We will certainly be back

Parking was a bit of a challenge but at least we had our own parking space and it was off-road. Room small but spent most of our time in "The Courtyard".

No breakfast - but host kindly supplied us with a loaf of bread (which lasted the 4 days and beyond), butter, jam, milk and bottled water. Also large bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash supplied (not always the case where self-catering is concerned). The host Jo was very friendly and approachable, on asking about live music in the area she emailed me a detailed list of venues and acts for the weekend. The outside area was the star - we ate breakfast out there and entertained a couple of relatives from Deal there one evening who liked it so much that they couldn't stop taking photos which they subsequently shared on facebook with the rest of their family. Walmer station entrance is conveniently directly opposite.

I had expected a kitchen as it was mentioned in the French version of the description. In fact, you can have breakfast, and chilled drinks (there is a fridge) but you can't actually cook. I have liked all the rest, it was an excellent weekend.

The room is very comfortable, decorated with taste, the shower works perfectly, the bed is very comfortable. Our host had provided bread, milk, tea, jam, butter, tea and coffee, everything to prepare a good breakfast, without any further charge. Now let's talk about the courtyard which was a blessing thanks to the beautiful weather we had ! It's very original, cosy, and another room really. We had a pleasant evening picnic there. In this room as well as in the courtyard, you feel as if your host really wants you to have the best stay.
