Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

EstoniaNo real coffee. Alcohol selection in the bar was poor - could be better.
Breakfast was fabulos, only it could vary more. We stayed for 2 nights, so it was OK. And PLEASE purchase coffee machine - a real one :) Location was good if you seek for quiet (we did), sea was near. No night life - not in the beach and not in the facility. If you travel with children, then it is a good thing.

PolandBeds are very comfortable but the wooden frame edges are so sharp that you can easily injure your leg while getting out of the bed or walking near the bed :) The bathroom was quite small.
The hotel is located in a quiet area, very close to the sea - but for real beaches you need to look a bit further, so a car is recommended to move around and to visit the local attractions. There are two pools, both very clean and well maintained. I liked the sports swimming pool a lot. Food OK, breakfast was standard and for dinner there was something different each day. The chef really knows how to fry/bake vegetables - brussels, broccoli and peppers were my favourite. Rooms were cleaned daily, the staff is very friendly and helpful. On the first day we were accomodated in a wrong room (no sea view), but that was solved and the host even offered us an extra night for free. The spacious balcony and the view were great.

Czech RepublicCoffee from machine was disgusting - machine uses powder, not beans. No small shower with hose in the bathroom. Cleaners don't look behind bed's headboard.
Superb restaurant with delicious dinners, close to the seashore, own pools, big rooms.

GermanyWe stayed two days, and they served for dinner ‘musaka’ and ‘čevapčič’. I expected something more for 4* hotel. Some parts of the furniture were outdated. Walls are relatively thin, so you will hear from your neighbours more than you would wish :)
Very international stuff, I liked it a lot. They approved us early check-in. The place was really nice. We arrived at breakfast quite late, and they allowed as to finish it although it was quite late. The landlords are really nice.

BrazilCheck out early, at 10:30 am. Breakfast did not follow the same level of the hotel. The coffee was really bad, orange juice was pure water. There was something that should be similar to nutella, really bad was well. Maybe I am just being picky because I had high expectations since the hotel overall was PERFECT.
Everything new, comfortable, sparkling clean. They had warm water in the swimming pool. Since the weather wasnt that good it has really nice to be able to swim.

NetherlandsCoffee could be better. Cleaning robot in the swimming pool. I went to reception to ask if it can be removed so that we could use the pool. I was told it will be done but we can already, swim as it is safe. It is hard to swim with cables in the pool so we waited >30min but nobody showed up to remove it. Eventually I had to remove it myself. Other than that was OK.
Location. Nice apartment. Good view from balcony. Parking OK. Breakfast was OK, getting better- more products, when more people were in (Friday, Staurday). Overall very good!

SlovakiaWhen we arrived at the place, we learned that our room was downgraded from a suite with a fridge and a small kitchen to a room without a fridge and a kitchen. We were surprised because no one informed us about it. The friendly staff informed us that he did not know that we did not have such information and immediately started to solve it. After one phone call he solved it and we got our room as it was ordered.
Very nice modern place with a heated pool. Indoor pool still under construction. Fitness center included in the price. Very nice staff. Great breakfast selection. Near the stony beach. They do not charge a dog fee.

GermanyIf I had to search: maybe a little more storage space in the bathroom And unfortunately it was already the end of the season in the village - but that's not the fault of the accommodation
Room and bathroom completely sufficient and clean. Communication and handing over the keys was easy and friendly. Breakfast was nothing special but everything you need. Parking in front of the door. We can't say anything about the pool or the bar since we didn't use them

United KingdomProbably not enough sun loungers around pool if it’s busy but there are other seats and tables - occasionally too many kids screaming and splashing - minibar fridge in room too small - evening meal a little bit disappointing - a little isolated if you have no car and limited restaurants in the area - the independent beach bar has great views and is ok for pizza/pasta although bizarrely didn’t serve chips so we decided not to have a steak after all! No supermarket nearby but obviously these last two are not the Resort’s fault. We got an Uber easily enough when we left because otherwise it’s quite a long uphill walk to the bus stop.
Modern comfortable room - pretty decent breakfast buffet - nice pool - great sunny balcony/terrace with fab views. Excellent restaurant La Pineta about 20mins walk up on the main road.

United KingdomEverything was great. A little strange that although the shower was a large cubicle with good water pressure, it was necessary to hold the shower head whilst using as there was no bar/hook/overhead!
New hotel with rooms and apartments, about 10-15 minutes driving to Zadar city centre. Large free car park. Friendly staff, on arrival we were shown around all the facilities and then taken to our room. There is a lovely swimming pool, bar and restaurant.. Our room was compact but very clean, comfortable bed and good bathroom with large shower. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choices and it was possible to eat inside or outside beside the pool. A great place to stay in a quiet neighborhood if you have a car and then drive into Zadar for sightseeing.

SloveniaThe apartment wasn't as clean as it should be when we arrived. We had a colony of ants in the appartment that got into all our food. There are no chairs or table inside the appartment so we had to eat our lunch outside on direct sun at 40 degrees. The kitchen is so small that we could barely cook anything and there is almost no equipment. There were 2 forks for 4 people (appartment advertised as 2 +2) so we had to eat in turns. The icecream by the pool was completely melted, but nobody did anything about it, so we started buying it on the beach instead.
The pool is the best part, we enjoyed it very much. It is clean and well maintained. The beach is 2 minutes walk away and the breakfast was good enough for us and our kids.

United StatesAside from the beach and ropes park, it is best to stay at this hotel if you have a car. There is not much to walk to with small children. For families with small children or weak swimmers, note that the pool is 1.5 meters deep with no shallow end. My particular room had a broken shower head and the water drained very slowly. However when I notified the staff, they were quick to offer to fix it.
Beautiful and modern family-run hotel with exceptional food and the friendliest staff. It provides a casual and relaxed atmosphere. Our trip to Croatia centered around the beach and this hotel was very close to a beach with sandbars. There is also a ropes park in walking distance. The hotel pool was perfect to relax when the beach got crowded or too hot. At a reasonable extra cost, an airport shuttle is also available, as well as tours that have pickup and drop off from the hotel, so you don't have to drive to Zadar for a meeting spot.
