How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

not too many things to complain about, quite nice hotel. maybe price could be a bit cheaper.
in general i liked all from hotel and very good postion to start daily works and easy to go out of city also to visit clients.

Hotel is not being maintained as Novotel brand standards example the outer facade lighting were completely switched off and the hotel looks haunted, further the mattresses in the room are outdated and are completely uncomfortable, created back pain to me the next morning Room size is super small, my kids stroller barely came inside the room after struggling and holding the door Bathroom was separate and was super small Halal sign should be put up on the non veg menu
Location was quite far from the Budapest Airport but that's understood because we knew it from before, we reached around i think 10pm or so and we were greeted by the fluent English speaking, smiling and loving Ms Flower who helped us during the check in process and also guided us where to go the next day Ms Flower you are awesome, God bless you Breakfast was also good but nothing was Halal :( Good real estate location, hardly 5 mins walk to the nearest petrol station to buy some snacks

Dinner at restaurant was not very good - we had three different dishes and were not impressed with any of them. Had to wait to get on a treadmill in the gym

The room was a bit tight. The carpet was very dirty. We also thought having the toilet and the shower room separately wasn't really ideal. Hygiene problems😑 Novetel could do better.
The staff was very helpful. The breakfast was great.

A random breakfast selection (no beans,or variety of fruit) husband got told off for turning toaster up to a higher temp but on the setting suggested we’d have still been waiting for the bread to toast, rooms boiling -27 degrees while visiting but told no air con in hotel till May, they did offer to open our window further and offered a fan, rooms cleaned by lovely lady but often very half heartedly-beds not made up properly for example

Breakfast was fully booked. Had to wait and find free table. I prefer vegetables but couldnt find them.

No fixed shower, only hand shower over small bathtub. Water was leaking from manual shower handle. Bathroom and room needs TLC, a bit dated.

The location of the property was such that none of the key attractions were at a walkable distance. The bathroom was a bit small and could have been bigger.
The hotel had great facilities including an indoor pool, spa, sauna. The breakfast had a wide spread which was a pleasant surprise. Staff were courteous and the property was in a decent shape.

the room is not so clean. the tub is clogged and the room is so hot! i think the AC is not working. the room is not spaciou.

Lack of English speak channels on the TV. While the breakfast was good, I don’t eat pork and there was a lack of non pork dishes

You don't have a restaurant that is big enough for evening meals and the bar needs to be bigger.
Breakfast good selection but all hot dishes are luke warm so not nice to eat. Scrabbled eggs too scrambled and crossiants are stale coffee also luke warm.
