Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsThere were no yoga classes The 'free' photoshoot is a tourist trap. You will only get 1 picture free and you have to pay a lot to get more pictures. Better to avoid it and arrange your own photographer.

United KingdomFew gripes really. When we arrived we were told we could order room service/go to the spa but weren’t provided with room service menu/spa price list which isn’t a problem but the information was really hard to find - not on the website or the QR code on the Google nest. It would have been nice for this to be provided on an information sheet in the room. When we went to visit the spa to see what was on offer we were told it opened at 9am but we went after this and it was locked to not easy to find out any info from. We booked a mixology room but no mixology stuff as shown on pictures was actually provided - don’t know if this is part of the rebrand? At the pool bar we were told on multiple days that certain items were sold out even on days where we were the first there - would also be good to have some mocktail offerings at the pool bar, non alcoholic options are limited. The funicular to the pool wasn’t working for our whole stay, we were told it was for a few days but ended up being our whole trip there. On signs and on pictures a wine bar was advertised - when we asked we were directed to the restaurant and no wine bar seemed to be there? Afternoon tea wasn’t too much to speak of - just a few cakes that were present on the breakfast buffet - so not worth interrupting your day to attend. Breakfast menu was a bit lacking, especially the buffet - very limited and minimal protection from flies landing on the food. It’s good that you can order multiple things from the menu however this wasn’t made clear on the first day and we only realised when the items came and were quite small. Because it’s slightly out of ubud it’s not easy to get a grab/gojek to pick you up from the hotel as they’re only allowed to drop you off there - but as mentioned above taxis from the hotel are cheap and I think they do a shuttle service too.
Lovely property, staff very friendly and accommodating. Gorgeous views, large clean pool - we never had issues getting a lounger at any time of day during our stay. Bedroom and bathroom very large, spacious with stunning views. Easy to organise taxis/transfers with the hotel often cheaper than local taxis. We didn’t partake in activities offered at the hotel but they looked to have a good spread on. They had a few games (chess, uno) up in the co-working area which was good.

IndonesiaNothing really. It got all facilities we needed. Swimming pool, gym, traditional spa, and its own little cafe.
It is what we had hoped for when we first made the booking. Situated in a serene river valley in a peaceful side of Ubud, but still a convenient distance from the busy part of town. So I thought we got the peaceful vacation that we wanted but still got to see Ubud and its little cafes and art shops whenever we wanted.

United KingdomPOOL – whilst there’s a huge pool with beautiful views of the rainforest, but the place has no vibe. The hotel sells ‘day passes’ to people who don’t stay at the hotel. They come, take all the sunbeds and then there’s less space for actual paying guests who are left with the rubbish beds. The bar here is where you have your cocktails & tapas but they barely have any of the options on the menu unfortunately. ROOMS – For the most part the rooms are really good – well appointed and equipped. Unfortunately, our bed was so loud every time you moved, the noise would wake you up. They sent someone to fix it but it didn’t work too much. So for 5 nights we didn’t sleep very well. It would be nice to have somewhere to hang wet clothes on the balcony. LOCATION – There’s nothing around, you need to take taxis / Grabs to get anywhere. The road right outside is full of barking dogs which isn’t nice. There is the hotel shuttle into town every 2 hours but you need to book in advance and sometimes it’s still full. You are however afforded beautiful views of the jungle from the pool and room. DINING - In addition to the pool issues above, the restaurant is public, usually dead quiet and just has no vibe. It’s set near the road (to attract the public passing bye) with zero views nor breeze. Underwhelming. In essence, there’s nowhere nice at the hotel where you can go for a nice meal in a nice setting. Such a shame when you have that amazing view the other side.
Really wanted to give this place a 5* but given it’s advertised as a 5* resort it just didn’t meet expectations. STAFF, VIEWS, EXTRAS, BREAKFAST, Wi-Fi, PRICE - 5* POOL, ROOMS, LOCATION - 4* VIBE, DINING - 3* STAFF – absolutely wonderful, all of them, everywhere. The best thing about the whole hotel! VIEWS – amazing views across the rainforest from the room and pool. BREAKFAST – the breakfast buffet is very limited but the a la carte options make up for it, very yummy. EXTRAS – it’s a really nice touch that you have free afternoon tea (1500-1600), and free cocktail & tapas plate (1600-1800). They aren't great quality but they're free. There’s also a free shuttle every 2 hours to Ubud – be sure to book well in advance or you won’t get a space on it. PRICE – Excellent value for what we paid.

ItalyThe only perk was that the room was not fully isolated and during the night was hot. I suggest to do maintenance of the windows in all the rooms. However this could have been just our room, everything else was perfect!
The hotel is really beautiful, directly in the jungle. All the staff is so nice!! We rarely met such a welcoming staff, also the food at the hotel’s restaurant was good and cocktails very creative. I did a massage at the Spa as well and it was one of the best I ever experienced, slightly expensive compared to ubud prices but worthy 100%

AustriaThe reason I booked this place is because of the beautiful pool and the great view. Even though the pool is huge, the pool deck is really small and thus all the sunbeds are cramped next to each other offering no real distance and privacy among guests. That makes it kind of uncomfortable. What’s even worse is the fact that the hotel uses the pool area as a day club.It means that outsiders can just come there and occupy the few sunbeds that should be reserved for paying guests. This is not ok towards hotel guests. On my last day a group of outsiders came to use the pool drinking and making a lot of noise. I wonder how the pool area looks like during high season with all these outsiders and influencers. The management should really look into this.
The hotel is really beautiful and what makes it even better is the exceptional staff that I would like to thank once again! The pool is amazing and offers breathtaking view of the rainforest.(there is an issue here though that I will explain later) Rooms are large, clean and very nice decorated. There was a humidity smell in the room but it didn’t really bother me.I understand it’s a tropical place. You will also see insects on the balcony but that didn’t bother me either. After all you are in the middle of a rainforest. Breakfast was basic but good.Perhaps they could add a few more options to the menu. Cocktails and food at the pool bar were also very good. The portion of the pasta could have been a bit bigger though. There is free shuttle to ubud center few times per day but you can also use taxi service anytime. The hotel also organizes day tours which I did and really enjoyed.

AustraliaTheir staff - 100%! They go above and beyond, making sure every single one of your requests gets looked after. Not to mention a special surprise cake for my partner's birthday. Also, the special invitation to participate in the Full Moon Ceremony, and Barong Dance in the local temple with complimentary traditional clothing to fit our sizes. One of the most delicious custom-made breakfast experiences we have ever had anywhere we have been! Their chef has even baked one of the superb-tasting breads to cater for our gluten-free dietary restriction by baking one of the most delicious corn and coconut-based breads. In addition, both of us were stunned when they offered us to try beef bacon instead of ordinary bacon. To top this up their kitchen was very generous with choices and allowed us to indulge in their buffet and ala-carte selection to the highest satisfaction.

IndiaThe beds creak a lot…need to be looked at. The room service can be improved…we got a torn towel placed in our room once.
The look and feel of the property, the staff, location..everything. The access is not really great however once at the property…it is superb. Centrally located close to all activities in Ubud. The staff and the GM of the hotel himself are very helpful and they helped to sort out our bookings…

Germany- the strong smell in the sleeping room; until we had to move to another room. And the 2nd room had also bad smell until we asked for more and more room parfume, luckily the smell is gone on the last day of our stay 😅 the smell came one day after we extend our stay. They need to figure it out and fix the problems with the smell.
- infinity pool (10 out of 10) - the nature - surrounding area, just beautiful - spacious and beautiful room - comfortable bed - super friendly personal (especially bli wahyu and 2 pregnant Mboks - forgot the names, also the receptionist. All are very friendly) - nice breakfast - free shuttle to Ubud city - many complementaries - nice place to escape from big city

SloveniaWe experienced some unpleasant smell in the bathroom in the room, which I read some others experienced too in their reviews. I suggest to pay attention to this. Otherwise a very pleasant stay.
We rented a motorcycle directly through a hotel, so the hotel’s location was very convenient for discovering different places around ubud. In case you don’t have a motorcycle there is not much in walking distance around hotel. Very friendly staff, very nice pool area, very good food at their restaurant, very clean, good wifi.
