Really comfortable bed and room! Staff were friendly and pool was clean. It was a good spot not too far away from the main strip (we walked to the street from the accommodation) but it was further enough away that it wasn’t noisy

However, one area where the hotel could improve is its phone service. At times, it was challenging to contact the staff as they primarily used personal phones, which occasionally resulted in delays or difficulty reaching them. Improving the phone system to ensure more reliable communication would enhance the overall guest experience. Despite this minor inconvenience, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Umah San. The positive atmosphere, coupled with the attentive staff and comfortable accommodations, made for a wonderful experience. I would certainly recommend this hotel to others looking for a pleasant stay in Ubud.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Umah San for five nights, and overall, my experience was quite delightful. From the moment I stepped into the hotel, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality from the staff members. The hospitable nature of the hosts truly made my stay memorable. The room itself was comfortable and well-maintained. It provided a cozy retreat after a long day of exploring the place. The housekeeping service was excellent, ensuring that the room was always clean and stocked with fresh amenities.

A good inexpensive hotel close to the very center of Ubud. Situated in a quite place almost on the territory of a Temple. Good breakfast. Room cleaning every day, has hot water

Just the location wasn’t accurate. Much further up that street. Pool looked a little cloudy ?

Nice enough property but totally confusing to find . Wrong location. It’s actually a lot further up the street Jalan Jero Gadung than it makes out on the map . I thought it was coffee Savannah , but you still have another 5-6 min walk up that street ! So please be aware of this. If you are elderly and don’t want to walk that far from the main drag. Apart from that room was clean and air on worked ok. Bathroom clean. It’s just I wasn’t impressed that the location wasn’t correct.

Hard to park - no space for car parking. Few space for motor bike, but right by the street, not inside.

We booked this place on recommendation of some travellers. As this is a guesthouse we were satisfied with our room, but it need to be renovated - very spacious, but furniture and kitchen need more attention. Nevertheless we spent a lot of time outside, travelling and afterwards enjoyed fully being at private pool and small yard we had. Somehow you have the feeling you came to visit your family. The host are very helpful and attentive. I had the best massage of this vacation - just ask them for it and they arrange it on request.

The bathroom door didnt close fully.

It is a ~15 minute walk to the ubud palace but you dont need to go there every day. You can walk 5 minutes to lots of restaurants (we recommend Sun Sun). It is more quiet and away from the noise which was good. The pool is really nice and there is a mosquito net which was the best!! The family there are really sweet and felt like we were living amongst nature. We really enjoyed our stay!

The bathrooms are very dated, and full of little flies and sometimes lizards (which I assume is due to the area Ubud, however it’s not so great when you’re showering). At night it is very noisy with wildlife, would recommend ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper.

The accommodation is located in a brilliant spot, on a quiet enough street away from the hustle of the main roads. The staff were fantastic and friendly! Their hospitality is excellent. The property was kept clean daily.

Komang and her staff were wonderful, super friendly and very helpful. The location is great with plenty of restaurants and convenience stores close by. Our room was very spacious and comfortable, we had everything we needed.

- I had to change my room because of overbooking but at least I could try the other part of the apartment - geckos are cute but if you fear them you should prepare yourself, there are some :D

The pool in the second day was dirty because had a lot of insects.

The hotel has a good location and is spacious, the pool was nice. The breakfast was really good.

1. Property was much further away from city than shown on map. A few hundred yards further away. 2. Also, I asked how much if we extend our say and the manager said “same price but you pay me cash”. We agreed. Then the next day she increased the price for the second day and said room price went up. It was still the same price on Booking.com. I argued but she wouldn’t budge and now we were already into our second day. Not honest - first time this has ever happened. Not impressed. 3. Looks like air conditioner, but it only works on fan.

Room beautiful and clean. Pool right at door. Property lovely.
