“Although in the meantime the hotel is so well known & always fully booked, the staff is still amazing friendly & takes time for a small chat.
What I like most is the trust they bring towards the guests, no strict rules like pool opening hours & it‘s always quiet, people do not abuse it. Also the honesty bar where it is possible to take out in trust is great!
The hotel is of high quality but not new any more & for me it‘s sympathetic that it doesn’t shine & glance in luxury, it‘s still familiar, beautiful garden & peace.

“The views of the sea and the town are beautiful. As there is a lift and stairs, it is easy to walk down the Ponto da Sol. The breakfast in the morning was excellent offering a great range of food. The hotel offered transport to a selection of levada walks giving you a map of the route. They also took us to the airport free of charge as we had stayed 5 days.”
