How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

I couldn’t download the app. to open the apartment which wasn’t the management’s fault.
When we had difficulty opening the door to our apartment; we were helped immediately.

The couch was very modern and lovely, yet deep, Hence, we found it uncomfortable to sit upon. You can hear the pounding feet of the people above us when they walked upon their floor. Especially if it was quiet in our apartment. Thank goodness they never wore shoes in their house or we would have found the sound unacceptable.
The property was clean - we really liked the location. Although located on a very busy street, the double paned windows did a great job of blocking out the noise. The bedroom was in the back of our unit (Pomme) so the sleeping area was absolutely quiet. The host was very helpful when I encountered difficulty accessing the app to electronically open our apartment door. One phone call to him was all it took. He even followed up to make sure I was sorted.

The bedroom and bathroom doors squeaked very loudly so that we woke each other up with nighttime trips to the bathrooms. Otherwise it was great!

You need to download two Apps to open the appartment, and still it was not working
It is a very nice appartment, quite new, kitchen equipment with Nespresso machine and capsules, welcome wine, perfectly insulating windows, automatic heating, spacy, everything perfect!! Big choice of restaurants and bars in walking distance

Bathroom had strong smell of cat urine which overwhelmed us.
Great location! Spacious, staff was accommodating, kitchen well appointed, comfortable bed and quality sheets and comforter.

Great 1 bedroom unit. Full kitchen and fully stocked to cook, we didn't as there are too many restaurants within walking distance. Highly recommend, and our one staff exchange included a Michelin noted restaurant recommendation.

A minor negative point just to be aware of is that the largest bedroom with two double beds was on a mezzanine floor overlooking the lounge area so not very private. This didn’t however spoil ur stay.
Great location and beautifully decorated. It had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. The complimentary bottle of wine was a lovely touch. We stayed in the 3 bedroom loft apartment. Two bathrooms were great (one en-suite).

Towel rails didn't work so towels didn't dry between showers, but cleaning service came in to give fresh towels after 3 days (no cleaning was done however). Bed was comfortable but pillows were dreadful
Location was good, didn't have street noise and good selection of services within the apartment (coffee machines, kettle, fridge, safe etc). Good size apartment, plenty of space.

The location was great, with lots of good restaurants nearby and easy to get to all the sights. Despite being in such a central location, the apartment was extremely quiet and a nice place to relax at the end of the day. The beds were extremely comfortable and the whole place was very clean. We also appreciated the bottle of excellent wine that was left for us when we arrived. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

When we booked we thought the apartment was on the Main Street instead of the opposite side of the building with accessibility only through the rear making it more difficult with luggage.

There was a bad sewage smell in one of the bathrooms. But the management team was extremely helpful and tried their best to fix it. They were also kind enough to give us a discount for our inconvenience.
Great location, large well-equipped apartment and a very helpful and responsive management team. Bonus - free cleaning, change of towels after three days.

I really don’t think there was anything we did not like.
Everything. Checking in was a breeze. Alex made sure we knew exactly where to park and gave us step by step instructions on getting into the apartment. The apartment is beautiful, clean and very comfortable. It had an elevator, air conditioning and very comfortable beds.

We loved the property. The parking situation in Lisbon if you must drive is more challenging as many streets are blocked off to traffic unless you’re a resident or taxi but we were still able to find parking in the Cameos Square. Best to stop at a street closer to the property to unload your luggage. The rest is seamless
Gorgeous and comfortable apartment and outstanding location. Contact person was extremely helpful, easy to contact and even offered to book reservations at a local restaurant.

The property was very comfortable and clean. Very nice furnishings and comfortable beds. The beds were also queen size which seemed to be hard to find. So much space for everyone. The air conditioning worked great. The property was very close to parking, transit and great restaurants and bars. We loved the Imperial Loft and the Nuit apartment on the 2nd floor.
