my room was on first floor and faced the street so was a bit noisy specially around 4 am when in Turkey they takes garbage

it is great small hostel/hotel, for short stay was just an excellent, comfortable bed, so good water in shower even if shower is so small, everything was so clean

Nothing much except the noise from the next room in the middle of the night.

If you are traveling solo and on a budget but don't want to stay in a hostel, this place offers good value for your money. It is located near the tram and Halic metro station, within walking distance to Eminönü and some top attractions. Although the staff cannot speak in English, it didn't bother me much and they tried to be helpful as possible.

Bed sheet was too small. I slipped and fell down the stairs after they were mopped. There was no signs out to alert guests. The manager ensured I was okay. Signs were present thereafter. Regardless of signs be careful especially if you’re an older person.

Excellent shower. Comfortable mattress and adequate heating. Good view onto the street for people watching. Coffee/tea/kettle & fridge provided.

The heater is right next to the bed so it gets very hot in night. It’s also a wet bathroom and very small, with shower, sink and toilet all basically in one square metre.

Broadly good stay. Great location next to everything you could need.

Loud neighbours next door watching TV until late hours, noise from air conditioners outside (must be very unpleasant during the summer).

Good value for money, great location, plenty of shops/restaurants nearby, close to metro. Squeaky bed, but mattress was good. Cable TV (mostly Turkish channels though).

The only problem was that internet connection disappeared time from time, possibly t here were too manyt connections at once (I'm not sure in the reasons).

It is very good version of cheap hotel - clean small room, cattle, nice reception (some people speak English - some does not, but they all smile and try to help). For the price everything was OK or perfect.

    in general everything was good

the location was good near bus station and metro Halic M2, also Eminonou/ YENI CAMII/ The Egyptian bazar is about 15 min walk, you will enjoy your walks the street is full of markets, local restaurants and cafes. The neighborhood is popular but calm at night. The staff were really nice, "Can" speaks English, he is very helpful and reachable if you have any concerns. I really recommend this hotel for a solo traveler with economic budget.

Cleaning, I wouldn't say it was clean: upon arrival I found urine not drained in the toilet, drops on the toilet seat with a bit of toilet paper. The bedding, although fresh, is not washed, has cigarette burns and stains. I asked for cleaning once, during an 8-day stay, the cleaning lady only changed the towels, took away the garbage, and wiped the stains from the floor in one place, everything else, including the bathroom, remained untouched. You have to ask for toilet paper at the reception. Grey, old and smelly courtains on the window. What was also very disturbing, was that the cleaning ladies didn't use the door handles... They slammed the doors terribly, every morning. It wasn't cheap at all, so for that price I would expect more. The TV, although flat, was useless for foreign tourist, there were only about 30 channels and all of them in Turkish. The showerhead was broken, the seal was missing, and the water came mainly from the hose instead of from the showerhead.

Very helpful and nice gentlemen at the reception, good contact via Booking.com. Only 1 of the Guys spoke English, but the rest use a translator, so we could communicate, on basic issues. I asked for a quiet room and I got a room on the side :-) The room was very modest and tiny, but it had a fridge and a kettle, comfortable bed. Good location and close to the metro and bus station, markets and atractions.

The hotel is located in the Fatih district, one of the few where you can still experience the most authentic Istanbul atmosphere. It is close to the Haliç metro station and in the surrounding area there are supermarkets, bars, bakeries/pastry shops, kebap places where you can eat cheaply. The hotel is a simple structure (it seems recently renovated with windows that isolate well from external noise) and equipped with all the essentials (there was also a very useful fridge in the room). Bathroom and sink a little small. In any case, good value for money. Staff friendly and helpful, especially Can the owner, a really very kind person.
