Kusatsu Onsen Eidaya is located in Kusatsu. The property is a 10-minute walk from Kusatsu Yubatake and Kusatsu-Onsen Bus Terminal. Amazing service, we were received with a warm welcome and complementary drink. The host was very helpful with answering all our questions. He also helped us with the takkyubin service organizing everything. The accomodation had a lot of facilities like an entertainment room with old arcade games and several private onsen bathrooms. Our room was also equipped with a private Nintendo gaming console. We loved to play the games again we used to play as a small kid :)

Providing lake views and a garden, Chuzenji Pension offers accommodation in a prime location in Nikko, within a short distance of Kegon Falls, Chuzenji Lake and Chuzenji Temple. The meals that were included in the stay were exceptional. Both the dinner and the breakfast were sumptuous.

Located in Kusatsu in the Gunma region, Oyado Yukizumi provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking, as well as access to a hot spring bath. Everything was good. The Staff, Location, the room, the onsen, breakfast...all are wonderful. I have problem with my heavy luggage but the nice young female staff helped me. The hotel is right across Kusatsu bus terminal (less then 1 minute walk), and there is a 2-minutes-walk shortcut to Yubatake. There is a convenience store right in front and a restaurant next door. There is no shower or bathtub in the toilet in guest-room. But who needs those when you have an onsen with showering area.

Set in Takasaki, 28 km from Usui Pass Railway Heritage Park, Ryutakuzenji 宿坊 offers accommodation with free bikes, free private parking, a garden and a bar. Everything - having lived in Japan for 30 years, this was one of the best places I have ever stayed in.

Set just 36 km from Gala Yuzawa Snow Resort, Minakamisansou features accommodation in Minakami with access to an open-air bath, a shared lounge, as well as a lift. Amazing scenery, kind staff, great room, delicious food. I will remember the view of the mountain from our own private hot spring bath for the rest of my life!

Situated in Kusatsu in the Gunma region, Soumeian features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking, as well as access to a hot spring bath. The real Japanese design for overall accommodation are excellent. The service of the three people ( may be the owner) are very warm and kindness.

Set 36 km from Ishidan-gai Steps, Sekizenkan Kashotei Sanso offers 4-star accommodation in Nakanojo and has an open-air bath. Everything!!! Superb food, great and quiet location, excellent staff!!! There was no single thing that we wouldn’t rate AT LEAST 10/10. Greatly recommend staying more than 2 nights, so the atmosphere of the place and climate truly kicks in.

Located along Houshi River, Houshi Onsen Chojukan features a public hot spring bath, Japanese-style accommodations with free Wi-Fi and Japanese cuisine. Chojukan has excellent quality water, at perfect temperature. The outside onsen mostly operates as women-only (men only before 7 am). The rooms in the old building are small but well maintained, and the sink is inside (toilet outside). Meals are simple, executed very nicely. In sum, the waters are the main attraction.

Oyado Tamaki offers indoor/outdoor hot-spring baths and a traditional garden with benches where guests can sit and relax in. The kaiseki breakfast and dinner were amazing! They were able to accommodate my vegetarian diet!! All the meals were delicious and filling. The futons are super comfy to sleep on. They provided yukatas to sleep in as well, as to walk inside the ryokan and outside around town too if you choose. And the service was amazing!! One of our cousins unfortunately twisted her ankle while we were hiking in the area and they recommended a great local clinic to take her to, brought ice packs and bags and a shower chair for her to use as well. The in room massage that we booked was also great! Major props to our masseuse who got out alot of my knots. Prior to staying here, when I learned that my room was not considered a non-smoking room, I was super concerned as I have asthma and can't handle the smell of smoke. But they were able to air it out or do something as we didn't smell any smoke at all! I was super grateful and definitely relieved about this. One of the best ryokans I've stayed at and I would definitely stay here again if I'm in the area!! Very close to the iconic stone steps.

Boasting hot spring baths in a spectacular outdoor setting by Takaragawa River, Japanese-style hotel Takaragawa Onsen Osenkaku is a 10-minute drive from Hodaigi Ski Resort. Our big room was really nice with beautiful views towards the open air baths, the river and forest. The outside baths were lovely! The food was excellent and the staff was extremely friendly
